ROUND 1

BIJAN ROBINSON

The news on Bijan takes a bad turn everytime you look out of Falcons camp. There is no doubting the talent on Bijan Robinson, but talent cannot thrive when opportunity is not there. Yes, he is as talented as a 1st Round RB is, but he will be as reliable as a mid-RB2 is on a team stacked at RB. Drafting Bijan is the quickest way to put yourself in a hole.

ROUND 2

CHRIS OLAVE

Derek Carr has made his living throwing short passes. If you think Derek Carr will take 5+ deep shots a game to Chris Olave, you have not been watching enough Raiders Football. Which is probably a good thing. Regardless, Olave and Carr is brand new connection, there is no loyalty or chemistry, especially with a healthy Michael Thomas. Something Olave did not have to deal with last season. Taking Olave in the 2nd Round is a quick way to burn a very valuable pick taking a player who will play like a WR3 often.

ROUND 3

JAHMYR GIBBS

I have never seen a backup RB being drafted in the 3rd Round of Fantasy Football drafts, actually that is not true, people were drafting Clyde Edwards Helaire in the 1st Round back-2-back years when he got in the league, cannot forget Darrell Henderson as well. David Montgomery is way more talented RB than Gibbs, which makes Gibbs a very expensive change of pace RB that sheep are drafting in Round 3.

ROUND 4

BREECE HALL

If you think the Jets gave Dalvin Cook over $8 Million to stand on the sideline and root on Breece Hall, you are smoking the wrong stuff. While Breece is a talent, Dalvin Cook is a potential Hall of Famer, Fantasy Football Hall of Famer at least, especially if he leads the Jets to a Super Bowl. There will be many many many weeks Dalvin Cook outperforms Breece Hall, yet people are taking Breece Hall with a valuable RB2 pick. Breece is a RB3 at best in Fantasy this year, could easily play many games like an RB4. Avoid.

ROUND 5

J.K. DOBBINS

Ravens are stacked at RB. Even though it will likely be just J.K. and Gus Edwards running the show, there will be inconsistency as a true RB2 in Fantasy. One, Lamar loves to run in the red zone and steal TDs. Two, Gus Edwards loves to run near the goal line and steal TDs, as well as be the kill clock RB. If Dobbins is going to do his damage, he needs his signature blue moon long runs to save his day. While anything is possible on any given Sunday, I will take the under on Dobbins being a consistent RB to trust. There are much better RBs who go later, Dobbins will leave you on the short end of the stick more often than not.

ROUND 6/7/8/9

ROOKIE WRS

JAXON SMITH NJIGBA

I wrote the article back in May about JSN being and bust and double-downed on it after seeing him through one preseason game. Now he has a fractured wrist. While JSN is a talent, and he will have a successful NFL career. To draft him in the 5th/6th/7th round of your draft is Ludacris. He will be lucky to play like a WR3 in Fantasy Football on a consistent basis. He was going Round 5 before the injury.

JORDAN ADDISON

Never have I seen so much hype for a WR who will be lucky to be #4 in targets on the team. Justin Jefferson and TJ Hockenson alone will eat more targets in a month than Addison will get in a full season. While there is some nice upside, consistency is going to be a huge problem.

ZAY FLOWERS

The kid is quick and he has impressed me a lot this preseason with his shifty moves. If Zay replaced Garrett Wilson on the Jets in that situation, things would be interesting. However on the Ravens, he is just a puzzle piece toy for the run first Lamar Jackson who has more targets than he knows what to do with. While Zay will make some nice plays. 4 catches for 60 Yards will not win you any fantasy games and that would be nice if that was his average.

QUENTIN JOHNSTON

While Johnston does have superstar potential in his future, he is on the wrong team to make an immediate splash as a WR3 where he is currently being drafted in fantasy. In fact, he will not even be the #3 target on the team that he is with. Ekeler/Allen/Mike Williams, then it is QJ and Joshua Palmer battling it out for targets. Waste of a pick if you take Quentin.

RASHEE RICE

Rice has been floating higher and higher in drafts due to his breakout 8 catch/96 yard performance Week 2 of the Preseason. He was originally drafted this Summer in Fantasy Leagues as the #4 WR (Toney/Moore/MVS) from the Chiefs off the board, to now being #1. The Chiefs have so many WRs on their roster that I did not even mention two more (Justyn Ross/Justin Watson) will also steal a couple targets each week. Rice is a good talent, but they have a hockey lines of WRs.

ROUND 10/11/12

SOPHOMORE WRS

SKYY MOORE

Like I just said about Rashee Rice, the Chiefs have a Hockey Line of WRs and Skyy Moore is just another name on that roster. Moore was originally hyped as the slot guy to take the place of Toney if he misses time, which propelled him as a 8th/9th Round pick a couple weeks ago. The Chiefs are going to be a stock market of WRs, one second you buy the next second you sell.

TREYLON BURKS

Treylon got injured after I wrote the article above. A banged up knee to start the season is not a great look for a WR that was going to struggle with consistency to begin with. Treylon has not proved anything yet in his young career, and to expect a breakout role is not likely. Treylon’s inconsistency makes him undraftable as anything more than a WR5. Should not take up a valuable pick.

KADARIUS TONEY (Junior)

The Chiefs have so many WRs that it makes no sense to take Toney with a valuable draft pick. Even if you stash him on your bench as a WR4, the chances of you playing him in your lineup when he has a successful week is the same chances of you winning the powerball.

ROUND 13

JONATHAN MINGO

There was a Fantasy player who listened to sheep and drafted a WR Bust-O.

M-I-N-G-O. Jonathan Mingo was his Name-O.
