FANTASY FOOTBALL BEAST OR BUST ROOKIE PROFILE

JORDAN ADDISON

BEAST DOME NATION.

Fantasy Football season is around the corner and, “The BEAST DOME Draft Guide Process” will begin shortly. I expect to have the Draft Guide complete in May. Until then let us evaluate these Rookies and see if they will be on your team this Fall.

The Vikings gave us the 4th straight WR pick off the board at #23. With Adam Thielen gone, how we feelin’ this Rookie WR out of USC?

Jordan Addison has game. He is fast, he can get downfield, he’s got a bit of a bowling ball feel to a small guy. The role should be there for Addison to have a productive season, but he is still behind Justin Jefferson and TJ Hockenson when it comes to targets. There will be games where K.J. Osborne does outperform Addison, but I would take Addison over Osborne when it is all said and done. The Vikings do like to run the ball with Dalvin Cook if they can, even though Kirk has shown us that he is one of the best statistical QBs in the NFL over the course of a season.

Addison will have productive games, but he will also have games where he should be on your bench. I would say Addison is more of a mid WR3 than anything in Fantasy Football. Drafting him to be a WR2 in Fantasy is risky, even Adam Thielen saw a huge dip in numbers when TJ Hockenson came into town last season. Cousins and Thielen had really good chemistry together, and that is chemistry that is not going to come instantly for Addison. At the end of the day, Justin Jefferson needs all the targets he can get as arguably the best WR in the NFL.

While the future is bright for Jordan Addison, his rookie season will be an inconsistent option when it comes to Fantasy Football.
