FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE:

NOT DUJUAN YET (WEEK 15)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

Fitzmagic had more Fantasy Points than Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady in Week 14. If you used him, along with Randy Bullock like I suggested in the TEAM BEAST DOME article. You are advancing to the next round.

Before we get excited about Matt Stafford and his matchup against the Saints on Monday Night Football. First let us go over the few players that must be added in all leagues. Tim Hightower should have been added in all leagues last week when the news of Mark Ingram broke of him being placed on the I.R. When the Saints announced Sunday morning that CJ Spiller has no future with the Saints, he became a Top 20 RB.

So besides Tim Hightower, here are the players to add in Fantasy Football for Week 15.

UPDATED RB WAIVER WIRE ORDER

BRANDON BOLDEN

BRYCE BROWN

DENARD ROBINSON

JAMES WHITE

FOZZY WHITTAKER

RB

DENARD ROBINSON – JAX

TJ Yeldon is very questionable for Sunday, and chances are looking possible that he sits in a big home game against the Falcons to be 100%. If this becomes true, Denard Robinson could be a low-end RB#1 in all leagues with 100+ Total Yards and a TD. He catches the ball, he runs with solid power. He would easily be a better play than DuJuan Harris in all leagues. Yeldon has been battling groin issues for the past few weeks, now you can add a knee sprain.

DUJUAN HARRIS – SEA

While the Seahawks did bring in the electric Bryce Brown, you have to imagine that DuJuan Harris is going to be the lead back for the Seahawks who have so far refused to give the ball to Fred Jackson 10+ Times a game. It would be interesting to see what Fred Jackson could do given the opportunity, he proved he had plenty left in the tank last season. It is unlikely a player who has not played for a team will get many carries in his first game like Bryce Brown. But if DuJuan wets the bed, aka Fumbles the Football, Bryce could take advantage. DuJuan will be a RB#2 against the Browns.

*UPDATE. HARRIS WAIVED. BRYCE BROWN NAMED STARTER*

Bryce Brown is a risky RB#2 this week with upside to turn into a RB#1 if he gets comfortable in Seahawks offense. Fred Jackson is still in picture, but Fred is only being used as a change of pace RB. Add Bryce Brown over Denard Robinson in all leagues. Add Bolden over Bryce Brown.

BRANDON BOLDEN – NE

LeGarrette Blount may be out on Sunday, and if that is the case Brandon Bolden could see 18+ Touches as the Patriots should have no problem dominating the Titans from the 1st Quarter through the entire game. When it comes time to burn the clock and run the ball, Bolden will get the call over James White. If Blount is OUT, Bolden becomes a High-End RB#2.

*Update LeGarrette Blount out for the season. Add Bolden in all leagues as the #1 WW move*

JAMES WHITE – NE

With LeGarrette Blount suffering a hip injury. The New England Patriots have more reason to use the next coming of Dion Lewis in James White. While his rushing attempts have been nothing to brag about, he is a BEAST in PPR leagues and should definitely make a dent on Sunday. If Blount plays, White is a low-end RB#3. If Blount is out, you have a solid RB#2.

*Update LeGarrette Blount out for the season. Add White in all PPR Leagues*

*FOZZY WHITTAKER – CAR*

The * symbolize that he was just added this morning with the news that Jonathan Stewart is in a walking boot. I do expect J-Stew to be fine, but there is definitely a chance he misses Week 15 with a Sprained Foot. Fozzy is a solid RB who would be low-end RB#2 Quality against the Giants. Keep in mind that Mike Tolbert will have a larger role as well. Fozzy is more of a Must-Add for J-Stew owners.

CJ SPILLER – NO

While people may be dropping CJ Spiller after he failed to get going last week. This matchup upcoming against the Lions is a very nice opportunity to scoop him up. The Lions Run D was looking BEASTLY ever since the Bye Week until they let Todd Gurley run all over them in the 2nd Half. They contained Gurley to 13 yards at Halftime. If the Lions D shows up, Tim Hightower may not be the best fit RB for the Saints who could go very pass happy in that game. CJ is still a low-end RB#3 in PPR leagues, but he is worth adding just in case he breaks out in a favorable matchup.

CHRIS POLK – HOU

Polk was getting his touches early and he looked good, but the Texans are not afraid to throw a committee of RB’s in the picture. As long as Jonathan Grimes is getting touches, Polk is nothing more than a RB#4 with RB#3 upside in PPR leagues. Still with everyone having their season on the line, it is best to ignore Polk for now.

WR

TYLER LOCKETT – SEA

Pop. Drop. And Lockett. Tyler has exploded along with Doug Baldwin and Russell Wilson since Jimmy Graham and his season ended. Lockett is too fast for words, and the Seahawks are relying on their passing game to dominate anyone that stands in their path. The Seahawks should continue to soar the rest of the season through the air, which makes Tyler Lockett officially a WR#3 with WR#2 upside.

MARQUES COLSTON – NO

Are you desperate for a WR? Grab Marques the BEAST who turned back the clock with a 2 TD game. Despite both TD’s being Goal Line plays, Colston still has enough left in the tank where he should be a factor against a collapsing Lions Defense who should be on their heels all game against Drew Brees. Colston will be a WR#3 with WR#2 upside heading into this matchup.

D/ST STRATEGY

SAINTS – NO

All of us including myself is expecting a Hall-Of-Fame performance from Matt Stafford on Monday Night Football in New Orleans. One of the big reasons why I had everyone draft Matt Stafford was because of this vital Playoff Game to get you into the Championship as being basically a shoe-in. Just make sure you play Prater as well.

While Fantasy Defenses do not offer many points as anything in the Double Digits is a Solid Game. It is time to Hedge your Bet and play the Saints Defense. Everytime Stafford gets sacked, you do not have to cringe. Every time Stafford makes a mistake and throws an INT, you do not have to cringe.

If the Saints D/ST scores 0 Points for you this week, then Matt Stafford did enough to lead your team to a victory and the chance to play for the Fantasy Football Championship. You can take that statement to the bank.

This week for us Matt Stafford owners. The Best Fantasy Football Offense, is using the opposing teams Defense.

FANTASY FOOTBALL: VISION FROM A HIGHER TOWER (Tim Hightower)

FANTASY FOOTBALL:

VISION FROM A HIGHER TOWER

(Tim Hightower)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

Tim Hightower has been in a RB competition ever since he joined the NFL/Arizona Cardinals (Thursday Night Lights coming Tonight) in 2008.

First he sent Edgerrin James packing in 2008 as Edge, lost his Edge, that season giving way to Hightower.

In 2009 it was Beanie Baby Wells, the Ultimate RB Bust who could never stay healthy, Hightower saw more action. Then Beanie one more time in 2010 could not stay healthy, leading to Hightower being the superior RB. The Cardinals were still banking on Beanie so they traded Hightower to the Redskins. With Mike Shanahan as his head Coach and the success that came with his starting Running Backs in Denver. Only Roy Helu Jr. was in Hightower way to be the guy in Washington. 5 games into the season Hightower tore his ACL.

The following season in 2012, Alfred Morris was drafted by the Redskins and Hightower had to watch Alfred Morris run away with the career that could have been his.

After hard work and dedication, Hightower is back with the Saints running like he never tore his ACL in the first place. When the news of Mark Ingram being out for the season dropped, Hightower was snatched out of thin air in every Fantasy Football League as most Waiver Wires have passed.

While everyone is excited for Hightower who could see 15+ Carries a game in this offense, you can still not deny that CJ Spiller is still there.

More importantly, you cannot deny how bad this Saints Defense is. Which will lead to the Saints playing catchup more than trying to grind out the clock for wins. Yes, some may say Hightower who is a natural power 3rd Down RB is the better blocker. But let us look at it from the eyes of the Saints Front Office.

CJ Spiller makes $9 Million Guaranteed over 4 Years. The way he is playing right now, nobody will trade anything for him so the Saints are stuck paying that contract. CJ was brought into the Saints to be a Playmaker, and make up a lot in the passing game that Jimmy Graham left behind. So far this season Spiller has touched the ball 10 Times in a game, twice. He has 70 Touches this season.

At this rate, the Saints are paying CJ Spiller about $35,700 a touch. Hightower on the other end is making about $33,000 per touch. The only difference between these two players is that the Saints need to build for the future. Hightower is on a 1 year contract, any success he has just drives his price up. The Saints will not need him next season when Ingram and Khiry Robinson return.

On the other hand, CJ Spiller is locked in for another 3 years. If CJ cannot get it going without Khiry Robinson and Mark Ingram active, he cannot get it going at all while wearing Black & Gold for his career. While neither player (Hightower/Spiller) are safe starts for Week 14, Low-End RB#3 quality, CJ Spiller in the end is the RB you will want to own.

With no Playoffs and nothing to fight for. The Saints need to start the building of CJ Spiller’s legacy, and not the driving up the cost of the next Tim Hightower contract. The Saints offense needs a Boost for 2016, and figuring out how to use CJ Spiller correctly will provide that lift.

A lot of leagues are nearing their trade deadline. Some may extend it to the weekend, a lot are official once Week 10 kicks off. Here is one last move to help you win a Championship.

PAST TRADE MARKET ARTICLES THIS SEASON

Legarrette Blount (WEEK 2)

Jimmy Graham (WEEK 3)

Demarco Murray (Week 3)

Matt Forte (Week 4)

Matt Stafford (Week 4)

Steve Smith Sr. (Week 5)

CJ Anderson (Week 8)

Golden Tate (Week 9)

C.J. SPILLER

The New Orleans Saints are crawling for a potential playoff spot in what has been another disappointing season for this team. Drew Brees finally got it going a few weeks ago, but the defense has not been healthy all season. The biggest move this Saints team made to replace Jimmy Graham was bringing in Superstar C.J. Spiller. C.J. was hurt in training camp and never got a chance to get comfortable with the offense and has been learning on the fly.

When Khiry Robinson went down a couple weeks ago, the Saints 3 Headed monster is now down to 2. So far in this 2 headed monster, Mark Ingram has dominated 95% of the touches, and with that result, they loss to the Titans at home. The Saints need to get C.J. Spiller involved if they want to be that much more dynamic of an offense. Even if it means lining them both up on the field at the same time.

In some Fantasy leagues Spiller may be a Free Agent, in other leagues he is sitting on someone’s bench. You do not have to offer a lot to get him, and in fact the best strategy of acquiring Spiller is to get him as a throw on for another trade.

With one of my Season VIP Clients, I am going to have him offer Sammy Watkins for Stevie Johnson and CJ Spiller.

Watkins is going to start seeing double teams to close out the season, and Stevie Johnson is the new #1 toy for Philip Rivers to close out the season. The addition of C.J. Spiller is where the term, “Trade Rape” will come from. Once C.J. Spiller starts consistently touching the ball 10+ Times a game, you have yourself a clear cut #3 RB in standard leagues, and a mid-range #2 RB in PPR leagues. Ingram is also very injury prone himself, so if Ingram misses at least one game, you have yourself a RB#1 for the week as we hit the crucial part of the end of the season.

SKYLLZONE Week 4 Busts

Frank Gore, RB, SF – SKYLLZONE ADP: 19.93

It is pretty evident that the days of Frank Gore are coming to an end, especially with a new back injury coming into play. This could be the last game Frank Gore puts up his value if he fails to impress his Fantasy owners. Time for Carlos Hyde.

Shane Vereen, RB, NE – SKYLLZONE ADP: 28

Shane Vereen is dealing with a shoulder injury and it is only Week 4. There is a long season ahead as the Patriots will try to limit the amount of hits Vereen takes this season as the Patriots plan a playoff run. If Monday night gets out of hand, Vereen is done early.

C.J. Spiller, RB, BUF – SKYLLZONE ADP: 34.8

Fell in love with a Spiller. This is a RB/Kick Returner who has the skills to BEAST, but the playing time to be a BUST. Fred Jackson is clearly viewed as the go-to RB in this offense with seniority over C.J. Spiller. Look somewhere else for RB.

Joique Bell, QB, DET – SKYLLZONE ADP: 39.7

Being a power RB against the Jets defensive line is a quick way to put up a bad week. Joique Bell will not be able to use his strength against the Jets who already shut down Eddie Lacy and Matt Forte in back-to-back weeks.

I FELL IN LOVE WITH A SPILLER

(C.J. SPILLER BUST 2014)

The Bills have not been a winning football team in over a decade.  The days of Eric Moulds and Antwan Smith are well behind us.  This Bills team is built on youth and on depth.  While their defense has a solid core that can keep them in football games, their offense lacks the potential to score a lot of points.  When you draft a Fantasy RB this season, make sure his team’s situation does not resemble the profile just described.

The Bills have plenty of interchangebale pieces that can come in at any time, and do the same things the other players in front of them are doing.

At QB, EJ Manuel can be replaced by Thaddeus Lewis/Dennis Dixon/Jeff Tuel.  You would not know the difference.

At WR, Robert Woods the #3 WR can perform just as well as #1 Sammy Watkins and #2 Mike Williams.

Then you have the RB position.

RB #1

C.J. SPILLER

No doubt C.J. Spiller has skill.  Put him on the Colts this season instead of Trent Richardson, you have arguably a Top 3 RB in Fantasy Football.  C.J. Spiller does it all, a little smaller than you want for a lead RB but a guy who can handle the workload and be a version of LeSean McCoy.  C.J. Spiller is a Home Run threat waiting to happen.

Of course with the good comes the bad.  The Bills want to keep the injury-prone C.J. Spiller healthy.  He cannot take a full load of bone-crushing hits, and if the Bills can limit his bodily harm by using all of the talent behind him.  Why not?

RB #2

FRED JACKSON

If the Buffalo Bills had to send an ambassador to represent their team and their city.  You already know Fred Jackson would be that man.  He may be 33 Years Old, but Fred Jackson is still a legend in the Bills 2010 decade.  He is too good to assume he will not get enough playing time.  There are drives that Fred Jackson not only starts, but he finishes.  Fred Jackson is an everything back that the entire Bills Nation cannot get enough of.

FRED JACKSON 2013 STATS

FJax

Bottom Line. It is impossible to bench a productive Fred Jackson.  Impossible.

RB #3

ANTHONY DIXON

The ex-49er is not a bad RB.  He has power and speed, and arguably could have been the next man up behind Frank Gore if the 49ers kept him for 2014.  Dixon is too good not to see his touches every week.  It would be surprising to see the Bills hold Dixon out of short-yardage and goal line situations.  The Bills do not want C.J. Spiller to take those big hits on the goal line.  Fred Jackson can take those hits as well, but always nice to throw a young body in there.

RB #4

BRYCE BROWN

Going into the 2013 season.  If you did not draft Bryce Brown as the handcuff to Lesean McCoy, you were taking a huge risk.  Bryce Brown had the type of season off the Waiver Wire in 2012 that easily led many Fantasy Football owners to their championships.

BRYCE BROWN 2012

BryceBrown

Adrian Peterson does not even put up numbers like that.

Bryce has moves and although he will not see many touches at all.  He is always a threat to make his presence felt.  Bryce Brown has BEAST potential in him, and C.J. Spiller Fantasy Owners cannot be liking the sound of that from the #4 RB on the depth chart.

CONCLUSION

While there is no doubting C.J. Spiller and his potential to be a STAR RB in the NFL.  The Buffalo Bills have too much talent at the RB position to feel safe about Spiller every week.  The second C.J. goes into a week questionable, not being 100%.  The floodgates for a RBBC (Running Back By Committee) open, and there will be no stopping it.  Once Anthony Dixon scores a goal line TD, he will be the goal line back.  Once Fred Jackson rushes for 80 Yards in a game, he will get 8-10 carries a game.  Once Bryce Brown takes one to the house, he will get a play here and there.

You do not want to constantly be worried about your RB #2 falling into a RBBC that would be too good to complain about.  The fact you are spending a 3rd Round Draft Pick with no clear handcuff makes it even worse.

Do not draft C.J. Spiller this season.  He is too BOOM or BUST.
