When you go into a sports season no matter the sport, Basketball, Baseball, Football. There is always one player who was not on your radar going into the season that ends up being a player you start to love during the regular season, and then you want him on your Fantasy team the following season. That player for me in the NBA, is Jalen Green.
In the two week stretch before the Super Bowl, I was giving out my Daily Prop Picks and sharing my love for Jalen Green.
Are you ready to see how good he has been now that the coaching staff has finally realized he is the real deal and deserves all the touches?
For the record he averages 19 Points Per game on the season, as you can tell his numbers have increased lately, as over this time not only have the Rockets won 6 in a row and are back in the playoff chase. Jalen has also averaged over 26 Points Per game over this stretch.
Jalen Green is a superstar, the only downfall for his career, Fred VanVleet has signed a 3 year contract. The biggest problem with Fred is the fact he thinks he is Michael Jordan Game 6 and demands the ball and thinks the offense should revolve around either his shooting or play making. When in reality, Jalen Green is Kobe Bryant and should be handling the ball at all times.
I know the Kobe love is too much, and I regret saying it as soon as I said it, but I need to drill in your head that Jalen Green is the real deal and he is more talented than Prime Bradley Beal, and you could slightly argue and lose that he is Devin Booker level right now. One day maybe, but for now enjoy the 22 year old continuing to dominate the game. If his Points is ever less than 24.5 in a game, I would take the over. The Rockets live and die off of Jalen Green and the team is finally starting to understand that.
