Every year there is a hitter that gets way too much love for no reason at all. This year that player is Nolan Jones who will cost you a 4th or 5th Round pick.

I understand the appeal of playing in Coors Field, but let us put it this way. If Nolan Jones was not in Coors Field, he would not be draftable. The tall lanky 6’4/195 lb outfielder is going for a price that is not even close to right.

Nolan does not have that much pop, he hit 20 HRs in 106 games which sounds like he could have hit 25+ in a full season, but here is the truth. He more or less only hit about 3-4 HRs a month. That is a lot of games without a HR. Some like his 20 SB speed, as good as that is, it is not a huge deal and that number is no lock as he is not known as a speed guy. So lackluster power, lackluster speed. There are not really many RBI opportunities on a likely last-place Rockies team. Nolan hits for a fine average at .280+, but this guy is being drafted ahead of Hall of Famers such as Manny Machado and Paul Goldschmidt!
