NO LONZO NO PROBLEM

BEAST DOME NATION.

The Lakers offense was explosive last night with the return of Lonzo. The Lakers are stacked with All-Stars and potential All-Stars for years to come. Tonight Lonzo will take the night off, which is a bad thing in retrospect, but the Lakers are straight balling right now.

Going up against the Kings, Lakers have to be careful not to get into a shootout because that can happen very easily. The big matchup that the Kings need to get a lot of buckets on is the matchup between Zach Randolph vs. Julius Randle. For years people have compared Randle to Randolph, and tonight they meet. While there are some comparisons, Julius is on an entire new level of speed that ZBO is not ready for. Despite that, ZBO is still a master in the post and he can get Randle into foul trouble. If ZBO can make enough of a dent with the starting 5, then the combo of Hield & Temple need to take advantage of the Lakers bench guards. While Temple is far more likely to get the matchup of IT, it is a matchup that the Lakers could have a lot of trouble with. When that matchup goes array, they better be ready to guard Buddy Hield and Vince Carter who will be ready to launch from 3PT range.

The Lakers on the other hand should get plenty of offense from Brandon Ingram who looks to have found his shot. Josh Hart & KCP will be very busy, and IT may have gained some confidence after hitting a big 3 on his last shot. Brook Lopez and Zubac could see little action as the Kings have size at Center, but Kuzma will be ready to fire off the bench for either and Julius Randle is playing the best basketball of his career. While the Lakers have plenty of offense, it will be key that Brandon Ingram paves the way for a Lakers W.
