The preseason is one of the most exciting times. We have the return of Football, and we have a bunch of players that have never panned out still playing for their NFL lives. This article will look at those 9 players to watch.
Skyy Moore – GB
BEAST DOME was the only Fantasy Football site to say Skyy Moore was going to BUST in his prime with the Chiefs. I put Kadarius Tooney and Skyy in the same sentence, Skyy is still in the NFL, Tooney is in legal problems.
Laquon Treadwell -IND
MEGAQUON! The nicknames started early comparing Laquon Treadwell to Megatron Calvin Johnson. BEAST DOME was always on the BUST prediction for his career as he was never part of the BEAST DOME Draft Guide. The 31 year old is running out of chances, but he has one more with Anthony Richardson possibly keeping him alive.
Tom Kennedy – DET
Kennedy has been the Lions preseason WR star for what feels like a decade. He was catching passes from Tim Boyle leading the way in Detroit, and to this day he is doing the same. Lions need a 3rd QB with Bridgewater retiring, does Tim Boyle get called up from the ashes? Regardless Kennedy will get his preseason stats and keep his role as the Lions preseason WR star.
Phillip Dorsett II – LAV
Dorsett was never part of the BEAST DOME Draft Guide despite him coming into the NFL with Andrew Luck was his QB. Dorsett never really was able to put it together in his NFL career, he still has one more chance for a strong preseason.
Justin Watson – HOU
Watson came into the NFL catching passes from Tom Brady than Patrick Mahomes. Davis Mills will definitely give him Watson a few deep shots this preseason, he has to come down with them to keep his spot as his athleticism nor size is keeping up with the youth.
Scotty Miller – CHI
Scotty came into the NFL catching passes from Tom Brady, he was revived for a second by Aaron Rodgers last season with some deep balls. However now Scotty needs Tyson Bagent to deliever him some quality deep balls this preseason or he may find himself on the wrong side of his career.
Jalen Reagor – MIA
The pick before Justin Jefferson now will be hoping Quinn Ewers can throw him a quality pass so he can prove to the league his story is not over. However with how he looked last year, that story is close to over. There is some juice left in the tank, this preseason Reagor has to show it.
Van Jefferson – WAS
In the playoffs of 2021 Van Jefferson needed off season knee surgery. In August of 2022, Van Jefferson aggravated it and he was never the same player since coming off of 800+ Yards and 6 TD. The Rams in 2023 realized they need to get a young WR to replace Van Jefferson, they drafted Puka Nacua. Van Jefferson still has something left in the tank, but he has been surrounded with bad QBs and not enough opportunities since leaving the Rams. Now he is the 8th string WR for the Commanders with Sam Hartman, the best looking player in the NFL, throwing him passes.
Dante Pettis – BUF
The 9th Round BUST of the 2019 Free BUST Guide. Pettis is on the last leg of his career now that he is 30 years old. Pettis likely does not make the cut at the Bills are deep at WR, likely a great name in CFL leagues next season. Pettis was a deep ball threat who never panned out.
