ODE TO DEREK ‘LEMON DADDY’ CARR

The New Orleans Saints got good news for the first time in a while, Derek Carr is no longer the QB for the Saints! While it came at the cost of injury, something nobody wishes upon anyone, Derek Carr was driving the Saints Franchise straight into a brick wall, and there was no end in sight. I was predicting it every year, for years, felt like Ground Hog Day every preseason, I had to cut against the grain and tell everyone to tamper their expectations and that Derek Carr and the Saints are nothing more than a category BUST.

The writing has been on the wall for the BEAST DOME NATION that Derek Carr is not a QB you want to even consider. However the sheep continued to draft Derek Carr as a backup every year these past few years, and eventually dropped him, wasting whatever useful Fantasy Football Draft Pick that was. A Top 10 Defense, Top Kicker, or maybe even that WR4 that turned out to be the breakout WR of the year.

Carr was great once upon a time, he was the BEAST DOME SLEEPER QB back when he had Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper as his top two weapons. However one night, the Space Jam Monsters stole his powers, and Carr was never the same QB again. You may laugh, but the truth is all of his talent just vanished over night. Every throw was a check down, every deep throw was floating on a prayer, every throw was too hard, every throw was wild. Chris Olave died multiple times on his hospital balls. Carr lost his touch.
