What is this name generator app these new NFL players are using these days. The first Emeka since Emeka Okafor has made it into one of the major sports. No Cam Newton, WNBA is not taking over MLB. Especially since everybody could care less that Angel Reese just won the BET women of the year award, for the third straight year..

The Bucs are still riding with a lot of guys from the Tompa Bay days when Tom Brady led the Bucs to a Super Bowl victory, but now a lot of them are starting to disappear. Not disappearing is his two great WR’s in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. You could argue these are Jameis Winston’s original toys, even Ryan FitzMagic! However now they are Baker Mayfield’s and he just added another weapon with a 1st Round WR in Emeka Egbuka.

Just like how Emeka Egbuka sounds like a madden generator name, so is the type of player Emeka is. Imagine Jayden Reed and splash in some Jaxson Smith-Njigb, you get Emeka. Emeka is good, he has talent, he looks like the new generation of WRs he passes the bill. However he has not proved anything. If you look at his college highlights, you can throw them away they mean nothing. He is going up against guys who are trying to pass their ECON 202 Test in a Week, not Eight Figures ($10,000,000+) paid adult men. Not people that can knock your head off if you go over the middle of the field. Emeka will catch a screen pass in college and then not get touched for a huge play. That will never happen in the NFL.

The Bucs have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, those guys are not going anywhere as far as dropping their target rate. The Bucs also have Jalen McMillan who to me really came out of last year as a star when Godwin went down. Bucs also have Trey Palmer who has a moment here and there, and Baker’s college teammate Sterling Shepard. When you add all this up, how is Emeka even going to play?

There is not one reason that should make anyone think, ya, Emeka is going to have a WR3 even a WR4 season in Fantasy Football this year. He is a player that will be on every Waiver Wire all season long and I do not know if other “Experts” are ranking him as a viable pick, but if they are, you know you are dealing with a sheep.

Maybe in the future once Chris Godwin leaves, which could be in three years. Or if Mike Evans does not sign the mega-max deal, which I doubt it seems like he is going to be a Buc for life. The Bucs really wasted their first round pick on a player they will never use. Fantasy owners would be crazy if they think drafting him in any format is a good play. Baker Mayfield has no excuse not to continue his success after inheriting the Tompa Bay Bucs, all that is missing is Leonard Fournette and Rob Gronkowski. Cannot forget Cameron Brate and his amazing catch of the Super Bowl Trophy as Tom launched it from one yacht to another.
