Fantasy Football: WEEK 7 BUSTS

*Sit these guys if you have better options.  Players selected were based on highest differential ECR (Expert Consensus Ranking).

ROBERT GRIFFIN III – QB – WAS

Muntradamus QB Rank: #7

Expert QB Rank: #3

I don’t have any huge discrepancies against the other experts when it comes to QB this week.  Besides me not liking RGIII as much as everyone else does. His comparisons to Cam Newton are accurate, besides the fact that you could at least rely on 10+ Point from Cam every week with his passing game.  You cannot say the same about RGIII, and that is why he is not on top of this list.  I much rather have the safer 300 Yard QBs any day of the week.

MATT FORTE – RB – CHI

Muntradamus RB Rank: #14

Expert RB Rank: #7

Not a chance the Bears are able to successfully run against this Lions front 7.  Nobody has this season, even last week a much more dynamic LeSean McCoy was not able to garnish 50 Yards in the running game. You better hope Forte brings his receiving hands ready to save his day.

SHONN GREENE – RB – NYJ

Muntradamus RB Rank: #29

Expert RB Rank: #23

Running the ball against New England when down 21-0 will not help anyone.  New England has a healthy Vincent Wolfork just dominating the line of scrimmage, which is making it tough for any RB to rush for 100 Yards against this team.  This is exactly what I wrote about Marshawn Lynch last week, the same applies to Shonn Greene here.  Tebow would make more sense at RB this week for the Jets to give them some weird shot of winning this game.

WILLIAM POWELL – RB – ARI

Muntradamus RB Rank: #36

Expert RB Rank: #26

Vikings Run D is the best in the business.  Although Powell showed some success against the Bills, anyone can do that.  Playing in Minnesota, Powell will be lucky to have over 70 Total Yards, this is not a game where you want to try your luck.

LARRY FITZGERALD – WR – ARI

Muntradamus WR Rank: #15

Expert WR Rank: #8

Fitzgerald owners will be very happy that Skleton is their QB this week.  For those new to BEASTDOME here is my journal on Larry Fitzgerald from owning him last season.  Enjoy.  He can still put up top 10 numbers any week, but how many TDs do you expect the Cardinals to get?

JORDY NELSON – WR – GB

Muntradamus WR Rank: #19

Expert WR Rank: #12

I was wrong about him last week, and he makes this list again to prove me wrong this week. Jordy is clearly the #1 WR for the Packers.  Cortland Finnegan is clearly the #1 CB in the NFL right now not allowing any #1 WR to have either 100 Yards or a TD in a game.  With all the weapons Rodgers has at his dispsoal, he would be crazy to attack Jordy Nelson near the red zone.  Regardless, the Packers have too many weapons for Finnegan to stay on Jordy all day. I do however expect Cortland to matchup in the red zone with Jordy, which means the TD may not come.  Still a great start if you have him on your roster.

WES WELKER – WR – NE

Muntradamus WR Rank: #16

Expert WR Rank: #6

Wes can easily have a #6 day at the WR position.  But I like the safe guys who you know will get their targets instead. Brandon Lloyd/Rob Gronkowski/Aaron Hernandez and a huge running game are all a threat to eat into Welkers production each week.  With the Jets likely falling behind early, you can expect the Ridley show to take over.  Bill Bellichick seems to be over his running up the score days, but against the Jets.  You never know. Though that could back fire in another matchup.

MICHAEL CRABTREE – WR – SF

Muntradamus WR Rank: #40

Expert WR Rank: #28

1/1 in big upset picks at the week.Seattle Secondary against Crabtree & Alex Smith, how can you think that is a good play?

HEATH MILLER – TE – PIT

Muntradamus TE Rank: #14

Expert TE Rank: #8

The Bengals are going to try to get their sacks on Roethlisberger Sunday Night with blitzes.  That likely means a lot of blocking for Miller as this team really wants to get Antonio Brown and Mike Wallace their money makers into the end zone.

GREG ZUERLEIN – K – STL

Muntradamus K Rank: #17

Expert K Rank: #7

If the Packers offense plays as well as it did last week. The Rams will be behind by so much that FGs will not even matter.  The only chance of Greg having a big day is if the Rams dominate with the run the entire game, and they get their FGs early.

BLAIR WALSH – K – MIN

Muntradamus K Rank: #14

Expert K Rank: #5

Christian Ponder.  The 7th Wonder of the world will leave you guessing any week.  With the Cardinals defense now healthier with Dockett.  Ponder could have trouble moving the ball as he was gift wrapped his last two matchups.

RAVENS – D/ST – BAL

Muntradamus D/ST Rank: #19

Expert D/ST Rank: #14

The run defense is not the same.  The secondary is all torn up. This Ravens defense went from the most feared, to maybe the best matchup in Fantasy Football for the time being.  Expect the Texans to get their points however they want it.

TEXANS – D/ST – HOU

Muntradamus D/ST Rank: #15

Expert D/ST Rank: #7

Their pass defense is now getting exposed with Jonathan Joesph looking nothing like the corner back he was last season.  Regardless with Cushing injured, this team is not that tough to run against.  You can expect a heavy does of Ray Rice in more ways than one, they went with him last week and they cameout with the W.  Look for a similar effective game plan.   Muntradamus is a Fantasy Sports Expert who specializes in Fantasy Football/Baseball/Basketball. 1. yeh ravens d/st probably will be hitting the waiver wire..they are going to be hurting..i hear ed reed is playing with a torn ligament in his shoulder.

  2. on a loaded bye week Forte is a must start. He is going to have a day against detroit. Look what Lynch and Gore did against stout defenses Thursday night. He will definitely get over 100 yds total from scrimmage.
