BEAST DOME NATION.

Last season I did an article of 5 players that will BUST your Draft. In the end all five players had awful seasons and literally did ruin your Fantasy Football draft if you selected them. During the preseason when everyone was all over Jacory Croskey-Merritt, I said he was going to be a BUST. However my biggest BUST call of all was a secret all the way until the season started. Kaleb Johnson, the reason Kaleb was a secret was because Jaylen Warren was part of the Draft Guide, and I did not want everyone to know just how bad Kaleb is. The list goes on and on with my great BUST calls leading into a season, year after year, my personal favorite was ‘The Fresh Bust of (Clyde Edwards) Helaire.’

QB

LAMAR JACKSON

If Lamar Jackson ran like the way Lamar Jackson used to run, he would be valuable. Now he thinks he is Dan Marino, and he is not Dan Marino. BUST.

JAYDEN DANIELS

UPDATE 8/12: He is off this list with the addition of Diggs. Still not part of the BEAST DOME Draft Guide, but he will be good when healthy.

You have a better chance of living through a round of Russian Roulette than Jayden Daniels staying healthy all season taking hit after hit. The guy does not know how to get tackled, not many more big hits he can take.

JALEN HURTS

Take away the tush push and Hurts is not a QB1. While the tush push has become a reliable weapon for Hurts, I am not trying to draft a QB who is inconsistent and I have to hope the team gets tackled inside the 3 yard line for a bunch of grown men to shove my QBs ass in the end zone.

** Seems like everytime we see the Eagles Social Media post something, it is Jalen Hurts throwing a lame duck. Same thing we saw all last season.

FERNANDO MENDOZA

Wrote about Mendoza in early June before the Raiders announced Kirk Cousins is the starter. Now that Kirk is the official starter, Mendoza has fallen off the face of the earth in best ball drafts etc.

** Mendoza still looks like a Rookie QB, Kirk Cousins has a firm grip on the QB job until the Raiders fall out of playoff contention.

*** After another preseason game, Mendoza even looks more like a Rookie. He will play when Raiders are eliminated in 2026.

RB

CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY

If CMC fell late 1st round, I would not be able to pass him up mentally. However the risk he carries is a lot of risk I do not want my 1st round pick to deal with.

** Stock falling quick. If he falls to late 1st Round it is hard not to pull the trigger.

*** Still not as confident as him as others are, will probably let him go 400+ touches a season ago and the age will catch up.

ASHTON JEANTY

Jeanty was beyond awful last season, a couple of improvements around him and everyone is ready to throw away their late 1st/early 2nd round pick on Jeanty all over again. Let them.

** Mike Washington Jr. is the real deal. Read my article on Mike Washington here. MWJ is a straight bullet train. You could not pay me to take Jeanty in the first 3 rounds of a Fantasy Football Draft.

*** An ankle injury just makes this a slam dunk. Jeanty will not take the full load himself..pause.

JEREMIYAH LOVE

Talked about him not getting enough touches in early June. Since then everything and everyone has confirmed that to be true. Tyler & Conner are going to be involved, I now see Love drop from Round 2 to Round 3, however that is still too early.

** High Ankle Sprain, Cardinals played him way too many snaps in the preseason opener. Draft stock falls, still great, still RBBC.

TREVEYON HENDERSON

Some games Stevenson will lead the way, some games Henderson can get his numbers. 5th Round Pick for Henderson? Absolutely not.

**New ankle/leg injury, no real news from Patriots, regardless RBBC.

RICO DOWDLE

Dowdle is not Gainwell, the touches will not be consistent enought to trust.

** Just in case you were worried about Kaleb Johnson, there is nothing to worry about.

JADARIAN PRICE

** Sheep in Seattle.

WR

GARRETT WILSON

You do not want your weapons QB to be Geno Smith.

** Taking him off this list, Geno Smith looked good, it is preseason, but it was very encouraging. Not drafting Garrett will just wait to see if he falls.

CARNELL TATE

While Tate has potential, you are going to need to spend a very early draft pick to see that potential. While I do believe Tate is very talented, I am not about to waste a 4th/5th/6th round pick on a WR who is on an offense that has yet to prove enough that they are going to get Tate the ball the way a #1 WR needs the ball.

** Chemistry for Cam Ward and the pass offense is off in Week 1 preseason. It is preseason, but temporary stock down.

*** Chemistry still off in preseason Week 2.

MAKAI LEMON

Temu Cooper Kupp, and that is generous.

PARKER WASHINGTON

Too many mouthes to feed.

BRIAN THOMAS

Too many mouthes to feed.

JAKOBI MYERS

Too many mouthes to feed.

TRAVIS HUNTER

Too many mouthes to feed.

JORDYN TYSON

I would like Tyson more if he went a little later, right now you have to take him in the range of some other talented WRs who have had success. Tyson will fight for more targets than many think, good upside but I will pass on the price.

** Out two months. Stock down.

DE’ZHAUN STRIBLING

** Fell in love with a Stribler.

KC CONCEPION

Last time I checked the Browns have had trouble getting 1 WR going, unless it was Jerry Jeudy the BEAST DOME pick of 2024. Hard to imagine them getting three WRs going in that offense.

** Has a little inspector gadget in his game, interesting player but not someone that is going to make a consistent impact on my fantasy team.

DENZEL BOSTON

Last time I checked the Browns have had trouble getting 1 WR going, unless it was Jerry Jeudy the BEAST DOME pick of 2024. Hard to imagine them getting three WRs going in that offense.

** No early chemistry with Deshaun Watson, only Week 1 of preseason.
