FANTASY FOOTBALL SHEEP IN SEATTLE

JADARIAN PRICE AJ BARNER

BEAST DOME NATION.

At some point you have to realize, having BEAST DOME in your corner for the Fantasy Football season is probably the best thing for your Fantasy Football team. Nobody does all the work, HW, studying, predicting that I have done over the past 15+ years. In this article you will read about two Seattle players that are either a waste of a pick, or being drafted too high. If I am thinking this deeply about these two players, imagine how deeply I am thinking about the entire NFL.

SHEEP IN SEATTLE

AJ BARNER

Last season AJ Barner turned into a nice little TE2 in Fantasy Football. It started out as a split TE situation with Arroyo and Barner last season, but Arroyo was having trouble being a good run blocker, which opened the door for Barner. In December Arroyo got injured, and AJ Barner became a very reliable target for Darnold. So reliable that Barner had more Fantasy Points than any pass catcher for the Seahawks in the Super Bowl as he finished with 4/54 and a TD.

Now Barner is not on many Top 20 TE list, and you will only see him go in deep leagues. However he will be drafted in those deep leagues, and it is a waste of a pick. Saturday Night I published my so far preseason MVPs, and I may have done it one night too early. While it is only Elijah Arroyo’s first TD of the preseason on Sunday, and he only caught 1 pass on 1 target in the first game, Arroyo is looking very athletic this Summer. Do not forget the Seahawks wasted a 2nd Round Pick on Arroyo last season, they want to see what he can do during the regular season.

JADARIAN PRICE

When the Summer started and I did my BEAST/BUST Rookie Profiles, Jadarian Price landed on my BEAST list. The only Rookie I considered a BEAST. I said if the Price is right, I would make him part of the Draft Strategy. When it was time to see what the Price was when I jumped into Draft season, I quickly realized the Price is not right. 5th/6th Round pick is very expensive for a RB who does not only compete with carries from one RB, but likely three RBs!

The Seahawks are committed to George Holani enough, even listing him as #1 on the depth chart. The problem with that is Holani is the worst RB the Seahawks have. Jadarian Price is #2, which is good, but Emmanuel Wilson at #3 is kind of a joke. Last season when Josh Jacobs missed time, Emmanuel Wilson looked like he was almost as good as Josh Jacobs. When Zach Charbonnet went down, and Holani had to play some snaps. Seahawks fans were yelling for Kenneth Walker to get right back into the game.

Just when you thought their depth chart is messy now, Zach Charbonnet is making quick progress on his return to the field. What was once maybe Charb will be back for the second half of the season, is quickly becoming, he could likely be back before Week 6 is the current timeline. To make matters worst, Coach Macdonald has said RBBC multiple times this Summer. Last but not least, Price is now experiencing lower-body/upper-leg soreness and is going to miss the rest of preseason.
