BEAST DOME FANTASY FOOTBALL

THE ALL-BUST TEAM (2015)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

As you all know by now, when I make my Rankings, I do them from complete scratch. I do not read what ESPN has or any other site, I do all my Rankings and Stat Predictions 100% on my own and come up with the results, on my own. When I am wrong on a player who somehow is sitting in your draft room a handful of rounds later than expected, I am usually the only one wrong on the player. This group of players were the players I was wrong about, THE ALL-BUST TEAM.

THE ALL-BUST TEAM

In order for a player to make this list, I have to be the one of the Top 99.99% of Experts who was wrong on a player. More often than not, I am on an Island with these players as the Top Ranked Expert. When I am wrong on any player where I am by myself, I will be punished so dreadfully on the Final FantasyPros Standings for Pre-Season Rankings that there is no coming back. Unfortunately there are a few bench players who put me in this position.

QB

MATT RYAN – ATL

MUNTRADAMUS RANK QB #4

ECR RANK QB #8

What could have been for Matty Ice. I was always concerned about Kyle Shanahan taking over as the OC as he has never done a good job with any team in the passing department. I figured it was best to look past it as it is nearly impossible not to BEAST with Julio Jones and Roddy White. Not to mention the running game was not that strong so Matty Ice would have to launch the ball 40+ Times a game, plus the Falcons played in a cozy dome against the weak NFC South. 16 Weeks later, we should feared Kyle Shanahan 100% as he completely took Roddy White out of the Falcons passing game and replaced him with, nothing.

RB

ARIAN FOSTER – HOU

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #7

ECR RANK RB #24

Everyone feared Arian Foster after he injured his groin. “Stay away let someone else draft him!” Screamed every Fantasy Site. Even before the groin injury, nobody was giving him that much respect saying Arian was best as a Late 1st Round/early 2nd Round RB. This guy is the best player in Fantasy Football to this day. It is unfortunate he got injured again, because everytime this guy took the field you knew you were getting 100 Total Yards with a likely TD. Do not even get me started in PPR Leagues. Arian was BEASTING before the injury, it was a sad day when it all came to an end. With an Achilles injury, Arian is too risky to draft.

RB

MARSHAWN LYNCH – SEA

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #1

ECR RANK RB #4

Finally all those hits caught up to Marshawn. BEAST MODE was looking like a BEAST before the injury as his slow start killed Fantasy Owners, but his Thursday Night Football Game against the 49ers gave everyone hope that the BEAST was back. Marshawn would only go on to play 1 more game before sitting out the rest of the season. Once Marshawn was gone, Thomas Rawls took off to another level, a level we never saw Marshawn reach this season. We will see how the BEAST runs in the Playoffs if he does, but all those hits + that fat contract + Thomas Rawls threat in 2015 makes Marshawn Lynch a 3rd Round Pick at best moving forward in Fantasy Football.

WR

STEVE SMITH SR – BAL

MUNTRADAMUS RANK WR #11

ECR RANK WR #31

The injury to SSS and his Achilles was a sad day for BEAST DOME. SSS was a Top 10 WR in Fantasy Football before the injury, and his loss was devastating. It hurts to even talk about it, but this guy is a Legend to the BEAST DOME NATION and if it was not for being injured, his name would not be on this list. R.I.P. SSS.

WR

RODDY WHITE – ATL

MUNTRADAMUS RANK WR #21

ECR RANK WR #37

Every Fantasy Expert started Freaking out when they heard Roddy White would need his knee drained throughout the season. So much to the point where he dropped so far down the WR Ranks, he was always sitting there in Round 7 or later. Roddy in my mind was a warrior last season and was very productive despite being banged up. I promoted Roddy White again as I believed in Matt Ryan and his ability to put up big numbers, in the end Kyle Shanahan phased Roddy White out of the offense. Leonard Hankerson had some nice moments, but in reality nobody really replaced what Roddy did last season. Because of this not only did Roddy suffer with his worst statistical season, Matt Ryan failed as well. Roddy did not end up missing one game all year.

WR

TERRANCE WILLIAMS – DAL

MUNTRADAMUS RANK WR #48

ECR RANK WR #25

My reasoning for my High Ranking on Terrance Williams was simple. Defenses when facing the Cowboys did not have to put too much attention on stopping the run, they had to focus on shutting down Dez Bryant. With Dez being double-teamed frequently, Tony Romo would have to take his shots with Terrance Williams.

In the end, Tony Romo got injured, Dez got injured, the QB situation was a mess for the Cowboys, and the entire team was an embarrassment to Football. I was wrong with this pick in the end, but there were definitely X-Factors outside of Terrance Williams that made this pick a BUST.

TE

JIMMY GRAHAM – SEA

MUNTRADAMUS RANK TE #1

ECR RANK TE #2

The Seahawks and Jimmy Graham did not go together as well. I wrote an entire article about how the Seahawks would dominate with Marshawn Lynch and Jimmy Graham, and instead it took both of them being injured for their offense to find light. The reason Graham did not do well this season is because he was never targeted, it was hard for the BEAST DOME NATION to watch, so hard we had to name him after a Horror Film. Silence Of The Graham.

ALL- BUST BENCH

QB

SAM BRADFORD – PHI

MUNTRADAMUS RANK #9

ECR RANK #14

After watching the Eagles all Pre-Season, I felt it was nearly impossible for Bradford not to throw for 300 Yards in a game with his eyes closed. The Eagles offense looked so fluid and Bradford was making Mark Sanchez look like dust, and even Sanchez put up low-end QB#1 numbers for the Eagles in 2014. Then the season hit, and Sam Bradford looked like a slow kid playing Football. He made horrible throws, the Zone Read Shotgun were the dumbest plays I have ever seen, and Bradford ended up being a Waiver Wire QB.

RB

LORENZO TALIAFERRO – BAL

MUNTRADAMUS RANK #35

ECR RANK #68

When I go out on a limb for a player like this and I am wrong, I automatically finish on the bottom of FantasyPros Rankings for this position. Mr. T was a household name to the VIPs all preseason, then he got injured, then he was ready for Week 2. I even started Lorenzo T in NFFC the one week he scored a TD.

Just when things were looking good, Mr. T was out for the season early. As soon as he went down I made Buck Allen a MUST-OWN. My favorite part about Mr. T is that I knew Justin Forsett was not going to last the entire season, only problem was neither did his backup. Only if I ranked Buck Allen here instead.

RB

TERRANCE WEST – TEN/BAL

MUNTRADAMUS RANK #34

ECR RANK #57

When I was watching Bishop Sankey fumble away the job during the preseason, I knew Terrance West had what it took to be the starting RB for the Titans. Unfortunately for Terrance, he fumbled away the job when he was fighting for it during the regular season. One thing led to another where Terrance West was Waived and did nothing for a long time before becoming useful as the backup behind Buck Allen. Small world, but in the end, this ranking will doom me on FantasyPros. Only if I put Antonio Andrews instead.

RB

KNILE DAVIS – KC

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #35

ECR RANK RB #50

I knew Jamaal Charles was going to go down somehow, someway. I also knew that Knile Davis was the clear backup RB as he was a semi-BEAST last season, and he was getting all the work at RB for the Chiefs during the preseason. When Jamaal Charles went down, it was not Knile Davis who got the job, nor did he ever see the field. If this was Charcandrick West everyone would be going nuts right now, but it was not, I was wrong on this pick and it will doom me in FantasyPros.

RB

LEGARRETTE BLOUNT – NE

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #17

ECR RANK RB #26

Puff. Puff. BEAST.

Blount finishes the season just short of 750 Total Yards and 7 Total TD’s in 12 games. Once again an injury caused this pick to be wrong, but in the eyes of FantasyPros, I will be wrong at the end of the day. Blount was a BEAST in his 2nd game against the Jaguars scoring 3 TD’s, easily the best trade advice in Fantasy Football for that time period was published the Week before.

RB

RYAN MATHEWS – PHI

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #24

ECR RANK RB #38

I knew Ryan Mathews was going to get his touches this season, so did the entire world. Mathews was very productive this season for his position as the #2 RB in a 3 RB system. Mathews has around 650 Total Yards and 7 TDs in 12 games, in the end this pick will likely be wrong because of the injuries. The word was that Mathews would be a BEAST if DeMarco Murray would ever miss a game, now the entire RB group is healthy and nobody is doing anything.

WR

MARQUES COLSTON – WR

MUNTRADAMUS RANK WR #24

ECR RANK WR #39

No more Jimmy Graham in my mind meant more Marques Colston. They even lined up Marques Colston where Jimmy Graham used to be a year ago. The end result was nothing for Colston as he failed to record good fantasy numbers outside of a breakout game against the Titans. Up until the Fantasy Playoffs started in Week 14. The last two games for Marques Colston has totaled 3 TD’s. While those 3 TD’s were nice, Marques was non-existent for too much of the season, no reason why, he just disappeared.

TE

VERNON DAVIS – SF/DEN

MUNTRADAMUS RANK TE #9

ECR RANK TE #20

Vern after reading was ready to have a BEAST season in my mind. He was in a contract year, and most importantly no more Michael Crabtree would likely mean in more short routes to Vernon Davis. What ended up happening was the 49ers fell apart, then Vernon Davis went to Denver where Gary Kubiak refused to go with a 1 TE set regardless that Vernon Davis is 100x more talented than Owen Daniels. In the end, this was a bad play.
