Every year in Fantasy Baseball, there is a player that makes a huge impact from the Waiver Wire. More often than not, it is a player we never heard of, a rookie out of the minors who does damage. This time, it is neither. In fact it is a man who recorded 67 Stolen Bases in only 132 games as a Rookie! Esteury Ruiz.

After recording 67 SB in 2023, I made Ruiz a LOCK for the 2024 Fantasy Baseball Draft Guide going after the 10th Round. Ruiz had his 2024 season ruined because he wore a yellow wristband near opening day, that supported the Oakland fans, instead of the owner signing his paychecks. Ruiz found himself injured, he found himself in the minors, the Athletics organization did not want to deal with him after the wristband stunt. So he goes to the greatest team in Baseball for the 2025 season. The Dodgers.

Esteury Ruiz finds himself in the minors. He is hitting .268, 3 HR with 22 SB in 42 games. Good numbers, nothing out of this world, but he is showing he still has some pop and if he gets hot, those numbers all-around will explode.

The Dodgers lack two things this season. Speed and a great Center Fielder (CF). Let us be real, Andy Pages if he was on the Pittsburgh Pirates he would be forgotten in no time. So far this season, he is slashing hitting .270 with 9 HR. Those are solid numbers that any team would love to have for their starting CF. With that being said, Pages will come back to life eventually. One bad month of hitting .155 for Pages, while Ruiz continues to impress in the minors. The Dodgers have to seriously consider playing Ruiz, a guy that could lead the MLB in SB every single season for the next few years. Well, maybe not anymore after seeing Chandler Simpson run, a Rookie out of the minors we never heard of.
