A HR pick is as risky as they come. The batter in baseball can hit a ball perfect, and that has no guarantee at all of being a HR. With that being said, I have been playing Fantasy Baseball so many years, have made so many lineups, and have seen just about everything. Here is my HR Pick of the Day.

MARCELL OZUNA

Ozuna looks to be over the hill. He has not hit a HR since July 13th, and only has 13 HRs on the season. He is now a part time player on a team that is figuring out if they should be in re-build mode or go one more year with the core that they have. This season is basically toast with the Mets and Phillies playing so well, the pitching staff is not what it needs to be without Sale.

Ozuna gets the opportunity to show the world that he can still do it big. Doing it big against Rich Hill is a good matchup to get Ozuna going. Even though lifetime Ozuna is 1-7 against Hill, the sample size is too small. Hill throws hanging curve balls more than he would like to, or a fastball that does not have enough speed. Ozuna is ready to rip a HR. The power is there, the pitcher out of his prime is ready to be exploited.

Ozuna is a Free Agent at the end of the season, he is due for a huge paycut unless he turns it on big. Rumors are swirling he will be traded, which puts even more pressure on himself now to show the rest of the MLB that he is still a big bat in the lineup.
