Peyton Manning & Crew is too powerful for this San Diego Charger Football Team.  The Chargers are coming off of a nice Home Win against the Giants, but it’s the Giants.  The Broncos are the best team in the NFL, and they will easily reach the Superbowl to be defeated by the Seattle Seahawks, exactly what I predicted in my 2013 Season Predictions.

2013 SEASON PREDICTIONS

STAT PREDICTIONS

PEYTON MANNING

345 Yards/3 TD

Peyton Manning will be able to do whatever he wants, when he wants.

KNOWSHON MORENO

90 Total Yards/1 TD

Moreno may be more and more limited, but he is still a premiere RB #2 in Fantasy Football and should continue his nice season against a Chargers Defense that will be on their heels all game long.

DEMARYIUS THOMAS

120 Yards/1 TD

Look for D-Thom to go deep often, he will see more action with Wes Welker missing the game.

KEENAN ALLEN

120 Yards/1 TD

The Chargers will be playing catchup early, Keenan Allen is all this team has when they want to look deep downfield.

ERIC DECKER

100 Yards/1 TD

No Wes Welker means Decker will move into the #1 possesion WR role.  Decker will be busy often, he is a Must-Start this week as this is the safest week to roll with him.

JULIUS THOMAS

80 Yards/1 TD

For a TE, these are premiere numbers.  Make sure you get JT in all of your Fantasy Football lineups if you own him.

ANOTNIO GATES

75 Yards/1 TD

Gates will be busy on Thursday Night, Devner is a team he likes to play against.  Playing from behind will help his value as the Broncos will go up underneath action all game long.

MONTEE BALL

70 Yards/1 TD

Montee will have the 4th Quarter to himself, the key is getting that early Red Zone TD to solidfy how big of a game he could have.  He is easily a Top 20 RB as the Broncos are featuring him more and more, and the TDs are coming at a Rate that makes you think he could of been the #5 RB in Fantasy Football.

RYAN MATHEWS

80 Total Yards

Mathews needs to get his TD early if he’s going to get it.  Once this game looks like its out of hand, Danny Woodhead will take over as the primary back with the Chargers in comeback mode.  Mathews usally does well against the Broncos, the key is can the Chargers make this game competitive.

DANNY WOODHEAD

80 Total Yards

Woodhead will do what he can in garbage time.  The Chargers want to establish Mathews before it’s too late.  Becoming too late could happen a lot earlier than expected in this one.  Which bodes well for Woodhead.

PHILIP RIVERS

335 Yards/2 TD/1 INT

Rivers will be great in garbage time against the Broncos.  Denvers defense likes to play an umbrella defense in the second half, which is perfect for Rivers and his Top 12 QB Fantasy Value.  Get him in your lineup.

JACOB TAMME

45 Yards

For those of you brave enough to start Tamme tonight.  You have to hope he gets his action early, because the Broncos will look to close down shop on the passing game before the 4th Quarter.  Tamme has had his moments of Fantasy Greatness, but tonight he will be one of the last options on Peytons mind.

MATT PRATER

KICKER OF THE WEEK

Prater is the perfect example of what a QB/K Combo looks like.

  1. I have woodhead montee and reggie Bush to fill one 9th spot and one flex. Do I start both tonight and bench Reggie in the event he can’t go Monday? I’m in the semis! Need this win big time!

  2. I have Ryan Mathews, Steven Jackson, Montee Ball and Gio Bernard …

Having a real hard time deciding to roll with either Mathews, Ball or Bernard.

    Any suggestions?

  3. Hey Munt, im torn between rivers and romo. Romo just hasn’t gotten it done the last few weeks, but I don’t like the matchup for rivers. My opponent has Peyton manning. Any advice?

  4. This week shows how tough it is to predict production. I was torn between Montee, Andre Brown, and Pierre Thomas in a 1 Pt PPR league. Go with the studs that got you to the semis. Decided to stick with Brown.

  5. Yup misread the game. Chargers played Kill the Clock, all Broncos had the type of game that could end your season.

    Minus Peyton.

  6. I’m having a tough time deciding who to start so I’d love to get some help from BD Nation!
    Need 1RB 2WR 1TE 2FLEX .5PPR
RB: Vereen, R Jennings, A Brown, S Jackson
WR: Megatron, Jordy, Cruz, R Cooper
    TE: V Davis, D Pitta

Definitely starting Megatron and Vereen. Brown has an awful matchup (vSEA). SJax has a great matchup (vWAS) and has been trending up. Jennings has been a beast and I can’t see benching him. At WR, Cruz has a terrible matchup (vs SEA). Nelson has been unreliable without Rodgers. Cooper has been ok and has a great matchup (@MIN). AT TE Davis hasn’t been very productive and his targets have been diminishing with the returns of Manningham and Crabtree.
    Thanks guys!
