KERRYON MY WAYWARD SON (PRESEASON WEEK 1)

KERRYON MY WAYWARD SON (PRESEASON WEEK 1)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

The NFL Preseason is here and the games finally count, sort of. While they may not count in NFL terms, they do count in Fantasy Football. This season the NFL is more competitive than it has been in some time with no team as the clear cut favorite in any conference. There are a lot more rookies who are supposed to make impacts, whether they are potentially the RB1 of the team or the WR3 who will be taking on more of a role than people are giving them credit for.

The difference between BEAST DOME and the other sites, BEAST DOME will actually adjust the Draft Strategy according to what happens this Preseason. The other websites are flat out too lazy to watch all the games, or they are just comitted to what they have already said and do not want to change it.

So far the BEAST DOME Strategy has a perfect base, time to learn what we can during the Preseason to BEAST to another level. Here is just an example of what watching the Preseason and adjusting the strategy can do.

MIKE EVANS ROOKIE SEASON

This year the Fantasy Sports Experts are pretty high on Kerryon Johnson.

I am not ready to give him or any of the Rookie RBs they love they need until I see them live in an NFL game. We have seen too many rookies fall apart, we have seen Rookies nobody was thinking of emerge as talents we need to draft. However looking at the Lions RB squad, I find it hard to believe that Kerryon Johnson is going to make a Fantasy Impact.

However Kerryon will be the one player I scout with you all and share my thoughts as the Preseason progresses.

LEGARRETTE BLOUNT

Is there to take all of the goal line and short yardage work. Which automatically is a knock on Johnson.

THEO RIDDICK

Arguably the best 3rd down pass catching RB in the NFL today, Theo will take all the 3rd down work leaving Kerryon with only two downs to make something happen.

AMEER ABDULLAH

The odd man out as of now, Abdullah has to run strong this preseason to keep a role on this team. Expect him to give it his all and his all should be good enough to carve some sort of role.

A lot of Experts are claiming Kerryon Johnson can be a RB3 this season, I do not see it as we head into Preseason. After each Preseason game we should get a better picture.

  1. For what it’s worth, I get where some of these experts are coming from (assuming the ones high on him watched him in college – if not, they’re just following the hype). Kerryon 100% passed the eye test to me. But I agree with you, this backfield is WAY too crowded for him to have a meaningful impact for fantasy owners.

  2. Agreed. This might be similar to the DJ emergence, but only if there are injuries to the backfield and how long did it take for DJ to come out swinging??? Invest if you have a deep bench, but its buyer beware at that ADP.

  3. Kerryon looked like the REAL DEAL.

Still wont touch till at least Abduallah or Blount get traded/cut
