FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE WEEK 8

RUN DMBEAST (Darren McFadden)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

All preseason during every single BEASTcast. I was alerting the VIPs that Darren McFadden was far superior to Joseph Randle and that he would be the guy for the Cowboys. He looked faster/stronger and Joseph Randle is still an average RB. McFadden stayed healthy in all of 2014, and this was the first time he was on an offense that had an offensive line as well as a passing game threat to keep the defenses modest against the run.

From snap 1 of the Regular season, the Cowboys have been giving the ball to Joseph Randle who had a nice opening night against the Giants overrated defense, and a big 3 TD performance against the Falcons. Besides that, he is a big reason this team was looking horrible on offense when Romo and Dez were out.

Week 7, Run DMBEAST looked like a superstar out of the shooting gates and was running like a wild horse on a racetrack. Darren McFadden was showing signs of 2013 Raiders Darren McFadden, the same player who was a 1st Round Pick in Fantasy Football Drafts at one point of his career. If the Cowboys are going to win football games, they need to run with power like DeMarco Murray brought to the table in 2014. Finaly the Cowboys gave Darren McFadden the Rock, and he showed off why he is a BEAST.

DARREN McFADDEN is an ALL-IN Waiver Wire Claim.

RB#2 Value with RB#1 upside is definitely in store for Darren McFadden. If you have any Waiver Wire Budget left, use a very large chunk as this Cowboys Offense is only going to get better when Romo and Dez return, then the stats will be RB#1 quality nearly every week.

IN ORDER TOP WAIVER WIRE RBs TO OWN

*Must Be Owned in Less than 50% of ESPN LEAGUES*

DARREN MCFADDEN – DAL (42%)

Read above. RB#2/RB#1 Value.

ALFRED BLUE – HOU (18.8%)

RB#2 value on most weeks, more likely a high-end RB#3. Read BEAST or BUST.

JOIQUE BELL – DET (33.2%)

Joique looked great coming off the injured list. Lions just continued to get sacked every single drive after they scored 2 Touchdowns and did not convert any 3rd downs. Joique is more dominant than Abdullah and the healthier Joique gets, the more carries he will start to see. RB#3 upside in Joique just because the Lions refuse to bench Abdullah.

CHRIS POLK – HOU (1.2%)

RB#3 value in PPR leagues. He will have his moments, but he will also have a lot of games where he will remind you he is on the Waiver Wire. Read BEAST or BUST.

BUCK ALLEN – BAL (8.1%)

The Ravens are committed to giving Buck Allen his chance of the starting RB job if Justin Forsett has to miss any games. While Forsett is healthy, Buck Allen is not really a fantasy option and is more of just a stash knowing he will get at least one game. Justin Forsett has been banged up since Week 1 of the season and continues to add more injuries to resume as the season has progressed. Once the Ravens fall out of the playoff picture, expect Forsett to miss a game or two so the Ravens can evaluate Buck.

THEO RIDDICK – DET (31.1%)

Riddick is explosive but the Lions are now starting to use Riddick as the clear #3 RB in the rotation, even though he should be the #2. PPR Leagues he will get his numbers, but those carries will likely not come often at all. Riddick is a good player, Lions are just not using him to his MAX.

KHIRY ROBINSON – NOS (8.4%)

Goal-Line TD machine, Khiry is very hit or miss but one big injury away to Mark Ingram of being a RB#2 value in Fantasy Leagues. You cannot trust him when Ingram is healthy as Khiry will only get 5-7 touches which is not nearly enough. When CJ Spiller starts to get going even more, Khiry will take a backseat, even more. Khiry needs Ingram to go down to be a starting fantasy option.

  1. No mention of of Orleans Darkwa?

I know the Giants have a crowded backfield and it’s a fantasy quagmire but this guy was literally running over the Cowboys defense and had the most touches out of all their RB’s.

I’m not sure what to make of him and my gut says avoid the situation because it’s too crowded…But this guy played well in the Cowboys game as looked like a young Christian Okoye out there.

  2. Cant trust him. Like you said, Giants backfield is so crowded it would have to take at least two injuries to play him with confidence. Even if he does well against the Saints, it would still be hard to trust him with all the depth at the position.

  3. Chris Simms. Hard to trust him he is definitely behind Doug Martin on that team and that offense is not consistent enough as far as putting up yards.

Tevin Coleman. Can sit on the sidelines and watch Devonta Freeman like the rest of us.
