FANTASY FOOTBALL THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

THE COVID BOWL (WEEK 9)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

God Bless the NFL for fighting through this season and allowing us to have another week of Fantasy Football! Amen.

The Packers come into this game with a banged up secondary and a Covid filled RB situation. Let us assume Aaron Jones does not play, he very well could by the time you read this article so we might as well cover both.

Running the ball against the 49ers is not as easy as advertised despite all the injuries. Whoever the RB may be, it will likely still be a heavy pass first approach. Let us not forget Rodgers went to Cal so this is a homecoming, without a crowd. Rodgers loves that California Weather, he also loves that 49ers secondary that is very banged up. Davante Adams is turning into the next Megatron, though doubling him always backfires when you have a QB like Rodgers tossing the rock. The Packers offense is going to look good on Sunday Night display.

The 49ers on offense keep losing weapons, including Trent Williams to stop the Blitz, Brandon Aiyuk the new star on the block, and Kendrick Bourne to Covid. The WR core is filled with a bunch of players that would be in, ‘The Replacements’ with Keanu Reaves. Trent Taylor can be the kicker who owes the mafia money.

Nick Mullens is an upgrade over a less than 100% Jimmy G. The 49ers should have let Jimmy heal before throwing him out there again. They made him look really bad this season. Mullens is not afraid to take the deep shots, but the lack of weapons does not help. If Mullens can make it work with this, which is still possible, he deserves a closer look.

The running game for the 49ers can be effective, Dalvin Cook can make any Run D look horrible. Hasty and McKinnon are both good at their roles and at any moment of time Kyle Shanahan can go back to McKinnon being the lead RB. 49ers offense in general should roll forward, which will help whoever is in at the position.

In the end, it would a shocker if the Packers lost to the 49ers on Primetime TV with all the injuries to the that defense, and now offense. Packers Run D is the key to preventing this game from being close, 49ers would love to take the ball out of Rodgers hands and kill the clock.
