The Jaguars have been on a wild card journey, “literally”, since acquiring Trevor Lawerence with the #1 pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. First they had a failed coach experiment, then they grabbed Trevor Lawerence’s RB mate in college in ETN. Now, well now they are finally starting to play like a great Football team.
The Jaguars after starting slow have won three in a row after finding some mojo in London. The Saints on the other hand are still looking like a horrible team with Derek Carr as the QB. Carr is just not a good QB at all, and tonight he faces a strong defense that will take advantage of his mistakes. Alvin Kamara will try to bail out Carr, but Carr is going to have to control this game with his arm if the Saints are going to have any chance. Olave still manages to put up good fantasy games whenever I mention him, so I guess this is me mentioning him even though he really will not be a constant factor. Olave only saw two targets in the first half last week, two targets for your second-round pick. His whole season has been like this.
At the end of the day, the Jaguars offense is on fire and even though the Saints have been playing great this season, especially on defense. This is their defense’s first real challenge. Even though the Saints are at home, the Jaguars offense is playing too strong, even without Zay Jones.
End of the day, we all believe Trevor Lawerence is going to be a Hall of Fame QB, and even though this matchup will not define if Trevor Lawerence is really, “The Law” I believe one day he will be and this is a matchup he should show that.
