FANTASY FOOTBALL FANTASYPROS LATE ROUND SLEEPERS

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

It is that time again, the time that FantasyPros wants me to drop some free knowledge. Now, I do not really like giving away free picks for the main reason that I have paying clients, so why should I give away free information? In this case I will do it to hopefully find some new people to bring to the DOME. I am also keeping the real gems to the MVPs including the entire Fantasy Football Draft Guide with Round-by-Round Strategy that will make you feel like you are drafting against ghosts.

Last week they asked me for a couple BUST picks, and a couple LEAGUE WINNERS. While the League Winners, I would not say are really League Winners, but they are helpful in your journey when trying to orchestrate a winning Fantasy Football team.

This week I am giving two great Late Round Sleepers, but when I say LATE Round, I MEAN LATE LATE ROUND. If you are in a standard 12 man league with four or five bench spots, it is doubtful anyone will even consider these names at this point and time.

Will Shipley (RB – PHI)

“If the Madden Curse were to strike Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley could go from waiver wire pickup to the next Christian McCaffrey. AJ Dillon has shown enough to earn touches, but the Eagles appear committed to making Shipley their guy. He flashed plenty of upside during his rookie season to justify the role if the opportunity opens. While no one wishes injury on any player, the Madden Curse has hit at over a 50% rate in recent years, and if it happens again, Shipley’s stock will skyrocket overnight.”

FantasyPros actually made Will Shipley the cover man of their article, which makes you think that they really enjoyed my pick. He was not the most popular RB listed, the most popular was Brashard Smith of the Chiefs, which is really just the dumbest pick of all-time. Brashard will be lucky to see 20 carries the entire season. Even if Pacheco and Kareem Hunt go down, Smith will not have the upper hand on Elijah Mitchell.

Amari Cooper (WR – FA)

“If we are looking super late in deep leagues, there is one wide receiver who could make an immediate impact once he signs with a team: Amari Cooper. Just two years ago, Cooper dominated with Joe Flacco, posting 1,250 yards and helping lead the Browns to the playoffs. Last season was a mess, a chaotic Browns offense followed by a mid-season trade to Buffalo, where inconsistent playing time, injuries, and targets derailed his production. At 31, the upside may not excite some, but Cooper still has plenty left in the tank. He is clearly waiting for the right opportunity rather than settling for a spot buried on a depth chart, and in the right landing spot, he could instantly become a late-round steal.”

Amari Cooper is one of those guys that can change the landscape of the NFL. While he will not be drafted in any standard Draft, he really could be a LATE ROUND league winner and it will not take an injury for him to become useable in Fantasy, right now he just needs a team. If I were to guess where he ends up, I am looking at Green Bay. With Reed OUT, Doubs banged up, Wicks and Golden is not enough, the whole crew is not enough. Amari Cooper could be their WR1 if he signs with the Packers.
