FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 5 BUSTS
QB
COLIN KAEPERNICK – SF
ECR # 10
MUNTRADAMUS #16
The Texans will potentially allow Kaepernick to run. If he decided to do that this week, he will be around at the #10 ECR marker. He has to really run as the Texans pass defense should be able to limit Vernon Davis/Anquan Boldin no problem. If/When this happens, Kaepernick will have to do everything with his legs. The Texans probably learned their lesson on Russell Wilson last week, you would think.
RB
JACQUIZZ RODGERS – ATL
ECR #27
MUNTRADAMUS #36
Do yourself all a favor and not depend on little JacQuizz Rodgers against this solid Run Defense of the Falcons. Quizz has talent, but this Jets defense has shut down nearly every RB in their path. Keep in mind that Snelling is also a threat to take up a lot of PT.
PIERRE THOMAS – NO
ECR #31
MUNTRADAMUS #39
Pierre Thomas is getting phased out of this Saints Running Back Rotation like Miley Cyrus from her old Disney crew. Just like Miley’s Disney Fans, Thomas does get some touches, but he is getting phased out of the group quickly. He is losing value by the week and it does not look so hot against the Bears in Chicago.
WR
STEVIE JOHNSON – BUF
ECR #32
MUNTRADAMUS #50
No expert ranked Stevie lower.
T.Y. HILTON – IND
ECR #37
MUNTRADAMUS #57
Hilton has been completely Hit or Miss all season long. Mostly miss, and against the leagues best defense he is hardly a safe start in any format. The Fact other sites have him ranked as a high as #22 in the same range as Reggie Wayne/Steve Smith is a little absurd.
JUSTIN BLACKMON – JAX
ECR #29
MUNTRADAMUS #56
Two Words.
Blaine. Gabbert.
This QB makes everyone on his team worst, hard to imagine him throwing for over 200 Yards, let alone 1 TD. Blackmon needs Chad Henne to be successful.
TE
OWEN DANIELS – HOU
ECR #13
MUNTRADAMUS #17
Daniels could get his TD to save his day, but I do not like Garrett Graham stealing so much of his production throughout the season. This is a 2 TE offense that is featuring both players more than the other would like. Daniels has no speed Edge over these 49er LBers which could be a huge program.
K
PHIL DAWSON – SF
ECR #8
MUNTRADAMUS #15
Life is not going to be easy for the 49ers, so to expect Dawson to go crazy as a Top 10 Kicker with extra FGs an extra PAT. I would not be surprised to see him being very limited as well as the redzone opportunities for SF.
D/ST
BEARS D – CHI
ECR #11
MUNTRADAMUS #17
Last week I had the Bears defense lower than any expert. This week it is not the same, but with the New Orleans Saints coming into town, hard to imagine them doing so much to slow down Brees. This defense does not have all the matchups to cover all the options, and as soon as Jimmy gets a matchup with a Safety it is game over.
IDP
MICHAEL JOHNSON (DE) – CIN
ECR #9
MUNTRADAMUS #23
The Patriots O-Line does not like people hitting their QB. You can be sure the Patriots will make it a point to protect him every game, giving Johnson very few opportunities to take down #12.
SEAN LEE (LB) – DAL
ECR #2
MUNTRADAMUS #17
The Broncos are smart. They know Sean Lee is their best player, and they know he cannot defend passes down the field. All the Broncos like to do is throw down field, look for them to take Lee out of the game.
SLEEPER DB OF THE WEEK
BARRY CHURCH (SS) – DAL
ECR #17
MUNTRADAMUS #1
Look for Church to have his hands full against a great Broncos passing game. He will be all over the field making tackles.

I like the 10 ROS for the non VIP great addition to the site
Should be really targeting the top 50 fantasy players to be on your teams when trading. This is a nice boost.
no montee n top 10 RBs? haha, probably top 20 once hillman and moreno become useless.
No love for Victor Cruz in your WR list. Why do you see him dropping off a cliff, considering he’s #1 in some scoring formats right now. Also.. if we followed Beast Strategy and ended up with Eli as a QB, do you have any recs as to what to do? Tough sledding to try and get one of those top 10 QBs you listed.
I’m on the Eli boat with you. However, I think don’t do anything crazy yet. If you look at QB fantasy points allowed, the rest of the Giants schedule looks great, particularly this week
From a ROS perspective, who wins this trade:
Dez Bryant & Cam Newton
FOR
Matt Ryan & DeMarco Murray
.5 PPR League
THANKS
Hey guys,
I recently acquired Gronkowski in a trade this week, demarco murray for gronk and lamar miller. I also have Jimmy Graham and am planning on running gronk in my flex for the rest of the season.
I also own Adrian Peterson and Antonio Gates, now on the bench with the addition of Gronk. Is a trade of Peterson and Gates for Charles and either Wayne/Jackson/Garcon a good move, and which receiver would you take out of the 3?
Vick is still underrated due to injury concern… his value will never be properly realized until next season (if he plays all 16 games w/o any injuries)
In .5 PPR I might do that for Charles and Garcon. I think Garcon is a safer week to week bet than the other two. Jackson could blow up any given week, but give you 6 points the next. Garcon actually gets volume which will make up (to some extent) for the missed big plays.
Was just offered Decker for Le’Veon Bell.
PPR league
RB – Reggie Bush, Knowshon Moreno, Stevan Ridley, McGahee, Le’Veon Bell
WR – Antonio Brown, Pierre Garcon, James Jones, Hartline, Blackmon
No brainer right? 2 RBs 2 WRs FLEX
Jackson as in Vincent Jackson? I wouldn’t target him with Glennon at QB. Of the three I would target Garcon because his playoff schedule is easier nicer. Wayne has Hou (2nd) Ten (9) and Cin (16) vs. Garcon with KC (14) Atl (28) NYG (24). Who do you have at receiver?
That’s tough, those are all currently top 10 players. I think I’d want Ryan over Cam though.
@JohnyRoyale I’d say the Ryan/Murray owner.
STD 12 LEAGUE OFFERED KAEPER/FORTE/VJAX FOR ROMO/TRICH/FITZ
Cruz…a little love at 11, just missed. Could be a slow climb up the ranks ROS as the O Line starts to open up the run game and gives Eli a little more time.
I grabbed Eli off the waivers, I have Romo… according to History the Giants usually go through a stretch where they suck then go on a roll and win a bunch. His O line has to get better…you would think. Giants 0-4, who would of guessed… I think they use the Eagle game today to right themselves.
I like Ryan and Murray. Dallas should have a easy schedule against the run end of season. Ryan is currently playing without SJax and a limited Roddy. Dez top receiver, not sold on Cam. You figure with the current standings ATL and DAL will be fighting for a playoff spot end of season.
Jackson DeSean/Vincent?? I’m not sure I’d want to get rid of AP. With Gates turning it on lately (ROS Ranked 3rd), anybody in your league hurting at TE where you can trade for a WR straight up? DeSean could have the biggest Weekly play but teams are starting to double him because the Eagles don’t have another WR, Reggie would be the most consistant. Garcon, not sold on Washington/RGIII but you might be able to offer Gates straight up for him.
Don’t take that trade. It would be a downgrade in all three positions.
Should I try to pick up Ridley from waiver? Other RBs are Spiller, Fjax, Sproles, Wilson, McGahee, and soon to be L. Bell.
And MJD.
you forgot 2012… it didn’t get better in 2012
Thanks fellas.
Busts – P Thomas, Hilton and Blackmon…all had big games…ouch!
Who would you rather have for ROS Cam Newton or Russell Wilson?
Who wins in a Gates/Cruz/Flacco for Calvin Johnson/Heath Miller/Russel Wilson trade?
Thanks a lot.
Hey BeastDome.
I’m really thin @ RB and have been offered the following deals.
GRONK for Spiller or
Julius Thomas for Knowshon Moreno.
Thoughts??
I need help at wr! In a ppr my rb are j Charles, m lynch, m. Jones drew, m ball. My wr are j Edelman, j Gordon, v Jackson, j Blackman, s smith, m Austin, p harvin. I have been offered a couple trades, 1 get d Martin and w welker for j Charles and s smith. 2 I get Julio Jones and e lacey for j Charles. 3 I get d Martin and desean Jackson for Charles. What do you think? I’m leaning to option 1. Or should I stick tight? Oh yeah, I’m 1-4 now from losing some close ones the last 3 weeks.
8 runningbacks? Isn’t there a limit?
Cam
Take trade 3. Get Desean and Martin, 2 top 10 value players. Trade Edelman and V-Jax while you still can. Shoot for someone like Gio Bernard, or go after an owner who could use a WR.
Romo, T-Rich, and Fitz wins the trade.
