MUNTRADAMUS PICK OF THE DAY:
BEAST DOME NATION.
The Berry Gelato Matchup.
The Minnesota Twins are for real. After years of struggling to even remain relevant, a miracle has happened for the Twins. A miracle that is similar to Moses and Sea Parting for him to pass through.
The Tigers got rid of Justin Upton/JD Martinez/Ian Kinsler/Justin Verlander to now become a trash team.
The Royals got rid of Lorenzo Cain/Eric Hosmer
While those teams cut their talent rating to another level, the Cleveland Indians still remain the big dog in that Division. The reason why the Indians will likely always be better than the Twins for now, is because of their dominant pitching staff.
With that being said, the pitcher today for the Minnesota Twins is the real deal. Jose Berrios. Jose has the type of over powering stuff that can make him a nightmare to face as an opposing batter. What makes Berrios even scarier, he does not have pin point accuracy with his pitches and sometimes can be wild. When he is wild he is putting batters on base and batters do not know if that 97 MPH Fastball is coming to their head. Regardless of the wildness of Berrios, the White Sox do not have a good team at all this year to consistently cash in on mistakes. Outside of Jose Abreu, this team does not have an All-Star bat in that lineup. Maybe one day for Moancada, but not the way he is striking out these days.
Pitching for the White Sox is Lucas Giolito, once a top prospect for the Nationals, Lucas has struggled with his control early on this year and going to Minnesota to play a WHITE HOT Twins team who just destroyed Lance McCullers and have been beating the Astros. Twins are feeling strong and this is a matchup where the Bats should come to play. Between veteran stars like Joe Mauer hitting nearly .400 to All-Stars in Brian Dozier/Miguel Sano who have their power swing going. Twins are stacked with good young talent in the lineup as well, Lucas is in trouble.
