BEAST OF THE NIGHT PITCHING

Season Stats: (2-0): 13.2 INN/5 ER/14 K

ANDREW HEANEY

The Angels goto Seattle where their bats are going to be anything but sleepless. Mike Trout returns to the lineup, Justin Upton has been hitting the ball well, and lucky for the Angels Justin Dunn takes the mound for the Mariners. Justin Dunn is not ready to be a quality major league starter, which should automatically give Andrew Heaney a comfortable lead all night.

Heaney is still a bit raw from what many scouts once touted him as the best young pitcher in the game. Andrew has never really shown us Cy Young quality stuff, but he is starting to make strides to being a very reliable starting pitcher that you can count on to work deep into a game. Something that is very rare in today’s day where starters cannot hit their spots for more than 1 or 2 INN before getting completely blownup.

The Mariners bats do matchup well against Andrew. Lots of lefties who like to slash the ball does not bode well for the big left-hander who has a great curveball to keep hitters off-balance all game.

When you include the run support, the comfortability of pitching with a lead, and going up against a bad offense. Look for Andrew Heaney to throw a great start making him.
