THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Thursday Night Lights. Green Eggs and Cam. A title that would make OG BEAST DOME members say, you have used that title at least twice. Incorrect. I have used that title every season I get the chance to write about Cam Newton. Either that or, “If I go crazy will you still call me Super Cam?”
Well right now Cam Newton is playing like If I go Crazy and we still do not call him Supercam. The Panthers are easily the hottest team in the NFL. Beating the Patriots in New England, Beating the Lions in Detroit. That is beating two Playoff teams on the Road in a row. What makes this even “Crazier” is Cam does not have Greg Olsen and looked like pure TRASH the first three weeks of the season.
Going up against the Eagles, we can expect Cam Newton to face a hungry pass rush that does come quick. Really quick. Cam has to make throws and luckily Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess are Super Giants! Cam will be able to get his throws off to those two, but that secondary does play tough. Running the ball up the middle with Jonathan Stewart will have some nice plays here and there, Christian McCaffery is always an X-Factor but his non-ability to break tackles does limit him as an option. This is not going to be an easy Thursday Night Home performance for Cam, but beating the Patriots in New England was not any easier.
Flip side we have Carson Wentz, a man who threw 3 TDS, in the 1st Quarter. Wentz is a great game manager QB, we can call him a better Future Alex Smith. Might even be better now. Panthers Defense has been doing great things by getting pressure to the QB, the Eagles have a great O-Line, which means Wentz could buy a little bit of extra time. Alshon Jeffery who was shut down by Patrick Peterson last week, but not really, Eagles had such a big lead early on they did not need to throw. Wentz should get Alshon + Ertz going against a Panthers Secondary that is still not that strong and have yet to have a super outstanding game.
Eagles should have a solid day on offense, Cam is too hot to be shut down. It will be a great game, giving the small edge to Cam because you do not want to go up against a confident Cam in Carolina.

Great article! Goin’ for the win here…
Comeback mode for the Eagles + a flustered pocket Cam,
K. Benjamin- 80yards
Alshon J.- 135yards
K. Wentz- 315pass yards
Thanks for the read and fun.
P.S. any chance I can get your thoughts on a Doug Martin for Brandin Cooks trade? .5ppr? Who wins the trade?
KB 92 yards
AJ. 87 yards
Wentz. 301 yards
Cam. 294 yards
Cam Newton- 235 passing yards
Cooks is a good buy low. If you have the RB depth you can make the trade, however it is wise to keep the depth always plenty of talent at WR on the Wire.
I have Hopkins, Demaryius Thomas, Snead, Cobb at WR, and
Zeke, L. Bell, Doug Martin, Ty Montgomery, T. Coleman at RB.
Thanks for your advice.
Wow what a BEASTly squad.
Just hold Ingram, coast into the Playoffs. Preseason BEAST doing its thing this year!
