WAIVER WIRE WEEK 10

This week I was asked to be one of the FantasyPros Waiver Wire Experts.  We Ranked the Following people, and I will break it down for you a little more.

WW10

ANDRE BROWN – NYG

I have been pushing Andre Brown since Week 6 even on the last BEASTcast TV (What Can Brown Do For You).  You can also check out The Hillis has Eyes which was written in Week 8.

CHRIS IVORY – NYJ

The Cover Boy of the Week 8 Waiver Wire for VIPs.  I was all over Ivory the second he looked like the RB the Jets were hoping for.  While other Fantasy Websites hesitated on his talent and upside, I told all VIPs that he was a Must-Grab off the wire as Bilal Powell did not have this type of upside.

AARON DOBSON – NE

Dobson has been great and is looking like the #1 WR for the Patriots.  While that may be the case, I still have hopes for Danny Amendola to re-claim that #1 spot, behind Gronkowski of course who will always be the #1 option for Tom Brady.  Dobson will have his games, but games like these may not come as often as you would expect.  He is a WR #3 with WR#2 upside in Fantasy, sometimes #1 when he goes off like that.on Sunday.

RILEY COOPER – PHI

Cooper has WR #2 upside, but he is more of a WR#3/4 with the chance for the occasional breakout.  Both of his big games came when Nick Foles was Hot, we have seen different shades of Nick Foles several different times this season.  So before you lock Cooper in as a WR#2 lets just see if Foles can stay consistent.  Still, Cooper is a good add as a WR#4 on your depth chart.

JONATHAN STEWART – CAR

Not only is Jonathan Stewart healthy for the first time all-season, he has also never been hit the same amount of times as the already worn down DeAnglo Williams (Quad). That’s something I was preaching would happen all of draft day as a reason to make J-Stew a late Round Stash. With DeAnglo Williams slowly in ‘fade mode’ we can expect to see Jonathan Stewart make his way to being a consistent 16 Touch per game RB.  For Jonathan Stewart and your Fantasy Playoffs, that is all you need.

QB DECISION

NICK FOLES VS. CASE KEENUM

For the rest of the season, Nick Foles is also the QB you want. Yes, Case looked good on Sunday Night hitting Andre Johnson consistently like it was 2009. While that was all good and fun for Daily Fantasy Football, the chances of Case doing that again is actually more likely than you would expect which makes him a must-own. That’s especially true when Arian Foster starts doing his thing and making those safeties creep up. Nick holds the edge for many reasons, though. The most important reason is the fact he has Chip Kelly calling his plays. It is now officially his job to lose, and only playing as bad as he did Week 7 vs. Dallas would cost him the position.

WINNER:

NICK FOLES – PHI

  1. FantasyPros finally giving Munt his dues as a reputable FF Pro! Good stuff! I saw that article and knew that Foles would be the better choice (I started him too!).

  2. I need QB help. I have Matty ICE. Locker, Big Ben, Foles, Cutler are all on the wire, which one of these 3 should I pick up.

  3. Good looking out Munt! You advised me to pick up Foles and play him week 9 which i did and needless to say won that match up. I just wished I was in the same predicament in my other leagues as well and picked up Foles in those leagues too. Anyhow I can’t stress how much being a VIP is helping me! 7-2 (3rd), 6-3(2nd), 6-3(1st) and 5-4 (2nd place). Playoffs are looking good so far. Thanks again!

  4. Yeah Munt! Good to see you get the recognition big homie.

Shot you an email for ROS VIP.

For the rest of y’all, what do you think of Eli Manning ROS? Giants are in must-win mode (and you know how Eli is in must-win mode) are getting a run game back with Andre Brown, and have a soft ROS schedule for QBs. I want to pair another QB with Foles, and I’ve been doing everything I can to get rid of Matt Ryan short of dropping him. Eli/Cutler/Keenum are the guys I’m considering pairing with Foles.

  5. I have been attempting to move Ryan the day after Jones went down, no takers in my league. I am left with a waiver wire QB or trading DJax for Kap. I think I am going to get Kap and drop Ryan for Cutler. For your question I would not trust Eli ROS. But your points are accurate, the run game that Brown brings may completely change the offense to the scoring machine it has been in the past. I think Cutler is the better option, and his remaining schedule is relatively easy.

  6. Yeah I have too. Tried trading him in all sorts of packages. Dropping him might be the only thing left now. If I don’t end up finding a taker by tonight (trying to work the Aaron Rodgers owner) I’m going to drop him for Cutler. Gonna keep my eyes peeled for a potential Eli breakout tho

  7. If you’re taking just one I’d say Foles. He has a ton of weapons, a soft schedule, and Chip Kelly’s aggressive playcalling to back it all up. Not to mention he’s coming off of the greatest quarterback performances of all time.

  8. I am thinking about trading ryan mathews and jordan reed for jones-drew. Is that giving to much? Im thinking jones-drew is a upgrade over mathews cause he gets passes out of the backfield and goalline carries. Henne helps his production a little now to. I’m 9-0 right now and nobody seems to want to trade with me right now. Is there someone else i should pair with reed to get a better rb? Alot of people down on Sjax right now, but i feel he will be money in the fantasy playoffs..so im thinking i should keep him and upgrade mathews. Thoughts? Thanks!
    My team:
    Romo/ cutler
    Charles/ stacy/ s jackson/ mathews/ ball
    DeSean/ garcon/ gordon/ harvin
    Graham/ Reed
    KC dst
    prater

  9. brown will have his games I think..but he wont be consistent enough..low end flex/wr 4 in my opinion

  10. I would try to get a demarco murray for those players than mjd. You can probably get Demarco VERY low, and he has HUGE upside. Breezy schedule coming for him.

  11. bunch of guys on bye or hurt this week…between the three: mike james, dre brown, or j stew? or, i suppose, other? thank you in advance.

  12. Nice call on Alex Smith clunker! Unfortunately, I then chose Locker over Foles. LOL. Still managed to pull out the W without Stafford. Who btw I waited to draft late thanks to your Draft Plan. WHY ALL THE HATE AND NO LOVE FOR MUNT? My lineup is stacked now…per some of your suggestions: Gronk/Bush/Gordon/Orange Julius. And I just landed Andre Brown on waivers! Bring on the playoffs boyz and girlz!

  13. Too bad I had Locker and Foles, Munt mentioned both but mentioned Locker first and I chose wrong.

  14. I had Foles and Locker and chose wrong too, unfortunately I lost this week so I am at 6 and 3, good for 2nd best record but third place in my league because we have two divisions. Found this site week 4, good info, good comments. Good draft plan from Munt from what I have read. He knows his shit.
