FANTASY FOOTBALL RECAP 2013: BEAST ON

FANTASY FOOTBALL RECAP 2013:

BEAST ON

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

A football season that changed the entire Fantasy Sports Industry.  When I first started this website in Novemeber 2010, Daily Fantasy Football was not that huge of a deal.  Sure there were multi player tournaments where you could win $1000’s of dollars.  But nothing like it was in 2013.

Three different websites had tournaments where you could win $1,000,000 in one week.  Those websites also constantly featured tournaments where there was over $10,000 and sometimes $25,000 each week for first place alone, all for as little as $10-$25 an entry.

I am young.  I am 25 Years Old.  I know I have made a name for myself immediatley since joining the circut.  You can check my Hall of Fame which will get two new introductions at the bottom of this article.  I will also continue to update my Hall Of Fame as events happen.

HALL OF FAME

The main point I wanted to make is this.  I love helping you all win your Fantasy Football, Fantasy Baseball, Fantasy Basketball Championships.  Back when this website started, I would spend day and night sharing every thought that would go on through my head.  From 11:00pm-5:00am, I would just write, write and write.

Now I find myself in a situation where there is too much money out there up for grabs in the Daily market, and I am still only 25 Years Old and I need to make a living.  Which means I am going Pro.  Which means.  The BEAST DOME you all grew up on is taking a back seat in my life for the first time in three years.  Giving away Predictions is now a complete conflict on intrest.

FANTASY BASEBALL DRAFT STRATEGY

will start again in Med-Feb.

For now, you can rest assure that if you’re playing Daily Fantasy Basketball.  You will be seeing my name in the large tournaments.

I want to thank you all for this journey.  Don’t look it as a Goodbye.  Look it as a Vacation.

When the day comes where Montee Ball is a Top 5 Fantasy Football RB.

I hope you all think of me.

2014 BEAST DOME FANTASY FOOTBALL H.O.F. INDUCTIONS

PEYTON MANNING – DEN – QB

Peyton Manning broke the Passing Yards Record, as well as the TD record in 2013.  In my preseason analysis of Peyton Manning, this is what I stated.

“Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker is one of the best WR duo’s in the league.  When you add Wes Welker to that collection, game over.  The offense is going to allow Peyton Manning to be the offensive coordinator..Peyton wants to set records with this crew, no reason not to.”

Peyton Manning finished as the #1 Fantasy QB of the 2014 Season.  BEAST DOME was the only Fantasy Football website to Rank him as the Preseason #1 QB as all the others were debating between Rodgers and Brees.

JULIUS THOMAS – DEN – TE

JT took over the Fantasy Football TE world.  Sure Jimmy Graham was the clear #1 for a majority of the season.  Gronkowski definitely challeneged Graham when Gronk was healthy, but JT, he was the man that made everyone’s Fantasy Football Season Bloom.  If you listend to my Draft Advice or read my Rankings, you would see I had him higher than any Fantasy Football Expert in my Preseason Rankings at #10.

“The sleeper of the year at the TE position is Julius Thomas.  Peyton Manning usually makes his TE fantasy relevant, and Julius has a huge edge on Joel Dreessen right now.  Julius is doing so well, Jacob Tamme will probably not even make the team.”

  1. Munt,
Your insight, thoughts, and fantasy knowledge will surely be missed.

I wish you much success in the pro circuit. May the Beast Gods smile down on you.

Thanks for all your help over the years….enjoy your vacation.

    Dave

  2. Thanks for all your help this past ff season! GL with the daily games. Hope at the very least we get some of your amazing draft advice next football season. Your sleepers were spot on (JThomas, D Jackson) and rankings were godly.

  3. :( I was already planning for next season and counting on your sage advice! We need you for the 2014/15 Fantasy season! I miss the beast casts already! Maybe just do drafting help, start/sit advice, trade advice vs just rankings? please dont go!

  4. Thanks for all your efforts Munt and best of luck. You deserve it! From Madden Arena, to the worlds slowest Beast Dome to a very fast Beast Dome, the last three years have been great and taught me a ton. Hope you will have VIP next year.

I didn’t do so hot one league (but I won it last year because of you) but injuries killed me, along with the fact I managed to draft Eli, SJax AND TRich all on the same team. In my other league, I made the playoffs for the 3rd straight year. The commish said after this year they were going to order an investigation into whether I was some sort of fantasy genius because of my consistency (little do they know).

The only difference this year between first place in one league and knocking off the 1 seed the another (who knows what would have happened after that) was Jamaal Charles. Freakin Jamaal Charles.

Anyway, in three years I have placed 1st twice, 2nd once and 3rd once and have never missed the playoffs. All because of your insight. So thanks again for all you do and best of luck. Hopefully you’ll still feel like sharing your wisdom with us next year.
