LAMBORGHINI PERCY PART II

Lambo…Lambo…LAMBORGHINI PERCY!

The year was 2012 and Rick Ross was the hottest rapper at the moment with his smash single “Lamborghini Mercy” which indulged me to write an article titled (Lamborghini Percy – 2012).

Percy Harvin was a product of the Tim Tebow offense at the University of Flo-Rida, but then had a huge challenge as Harvin had to fight to remain relevant with Christian Ponder as his QB. Makes you Ponder, from Tebow to Christian, Percy Harvin then jumped around the NFL with QBs like J.P. Losman and Matt Hasselbeck. Obviously, this was an uphill battle for speedy Slot WR.

Now the year is 2020 and out of the shadows the 31 year old Percy Harvin wants to come back to the NFL, last time he played a full season was in 2011. The game has changed since he was last relevant. Teams throw the ball a lot more, especially to slot WRs. Teams also play less defense and hits that were legal in 2011 can get you fined and suspended in 2020.

Where will Harvin land is the real question. His game is relevant to work with basically any offense. He is no Antonio Brown, he is no Stefon Diggs, he is no Wes Welker. However he is a combination of all three that went horribly wrong in a lab but is still talented, and that is what makes him somewhat interesting.

Now I am not going to come out here and say Percy Harvin is MUST-DRAFT! He has not even signed with a team yet. In fact whoever he signs with, it is probably better for the QB and the offense as far as Fantasy, than it is for the once upon a time slot WR specialist. Something to keep an eye on as we head into possibly the deepest NFL Draft at the WR position.

More Draft Content coming this weekend.
