LAMAR OF ATTRACTION VOL. IV

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

In the past, there was never another expert who was down on Lamar Jackson more than me. He was my Bust of the year in 2022 and a highlighted BEAST DOME Bust the year after he won MVP. Heading into this season, I ranked him right where everyone else was, I had good expectations for Lamar in a more down field pass system with Monken being the OC, but I wanted the BEAST DOME Nation to draft Josh Allen as their QB who led the NFL in Touchdowns. So not the wrong pick with that one.

The Ravens played a game on Thursday Night this year, and I wrote high praise for him back in mid-November. Below is the meat and potatoes of that article.

“Lamar of Attraction has now been paid, and he is happy. Since then he has been dominating. While the TDs have not been there, he is leading the Ravens to one of the best offenses they have had in his career. While there have been some giant leaps from Lamar this season as a passing QB, he still acts like a street ball QB who does not know how to throw the ball and will literally gift-wrap the other team an easy INT. Lamar has been far less guilty of this in 2023 than his past, however he did show signs of that old version of Lamar last week.”

Since that article not only has Lamar Jackson led his Ravens to a potential AFC championship, he is somehow front runner for the MVP Race? That award should goto Christian McCaffery who had a historic season, while Lamar statistically not even the best QB. Do not get me wrong, Lamar has been great this season, and his ability to use his legs even in the passing game is at an ultra level of talent. With that being said, we may never see a season like we have from CMC in a very long time. 21 TDs and 2000+ Total Yards! There is no case for Lamar besides that he was one of the best QBs this season, while CMC was far and away the most dominant players all season for the leading offense in the NFL and had a season for the history books.

Still cannot believe Ladanian Tomlinson put up 31 TDs and 2300+ Yards back in 2006! CMC did his damage on 339 touches, while LT did his damage on 404 touches! Regardless what happens from here on out, Lamar has proved himself as the real deal at QB and has found a system that works for him designed by Todd Monken. As for Lamar’s old offensive coordinator Greg Roman, the Bears are in talks with him which would likely not be good for Justin Fields.
