DID JUSTIN JEFFERSON MAKE JOE BURROW?
BEAST DOME NATION.
Those who know me, know I am not a big college football guy. I spend too much time during the football season analyzing game tapes and preparing for Football Sundays with Fantasy than to spend a day or four hours watching College Football. If anyone tells you they are a Fantasy Football Expert and follow college football closely, then they are not in my building when it comes to studying NFL.
I watched highlights of Justin Jefferson for the first time and the question came to me, did Justin Jefferson make Joe Burrow?
Jefferson was making amazing catches on balls where he had to win the matchup because the throws were very 50/50 balls. Jefferson was a BEAST and able to win a lot of them. We saw Mike Evans carry Jonny Manziel at Texas A&M, and look how those two careers went in two separate directions. Not saying Burrow will be bad, you can read my preseason take here on Joe.
Regardless of the fact, Jefferson is ready to be a contributor right away on a NFL level. The speed, the ability to make tough catches, the decent size, all enough to be a somewhat impact Fantasy Football player in 2020. Will he be a WR2/3 probably not, but he will be a good role player on the Vikings.
What does go through my head as we move forward, Burrow had all day to throw and amazing talent around him at LSU. Something tells me that Burrow is more and more overrated as there is nothing special about his game that we have not seen from a QB before. Only time will tell.
