FANTASY FOOTBALL BUST OF THE WEEK

LAMAR ALLAN POE (WEEK 4)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

DISCLAIMER. Lamar Jackson Industry Rank across the board is #1. His Salary in FanDuel & DraftKings is the Most Expensive QB by Far. Lamar Jackson is my #10 QB this week, if you drafted him, start him. Other than that, no reason to think of Lamar Jackson.

Here we are, Week 4 of the NFL Season and Lamar Jackson is having a very up and down season. The record is 2-1 for the Ravens, but Lamar Jackson is playing like a QB2 as he is currently ranked the #13 QB in Fantasy Football.

LAMAR JACKSON FANTASYPROS PRESEASON RANK

Instantly, I was deemed as an outcast for not liking Lamar Jackson this season. I did not like him because I have never seen a QB get more points in garbage time in my life last year. The moment that pushed it over the top was because of the LAMAR OF ATTRACTION.

While there is still time left in Lamar’s season to get back to being a BEAST, it all starts in what is a MUST-BEAST matchup against the Redskins, on the road. While it may be, MUST-BEAST. There is no guarantee this happens with ease. For starters he is lucky that Chase Young is not playing, that looks like the last guy in the NFL I want to be hit by. The problem with Lamar Jackson’s game is there are times when he looks like a 73 overall Madden QB. Backup QB throws, Cam Newton 2019 running ability, and a rookie IQ where he is not controlling the game, the defense is controlling him.

The Redskins while they may be without Young, they still own a great run-stopping unit and an overall strong Front 7 that will want to force Lamar to beat them with his arm. The Skins also have Landon Collins who could easily spy Lamar Jackson all game. The Ravens passing offense has not looked strong and the matchups are not over the top favorable. Sure, Hollywood Brown can burn for a 70+ yard TD at any given moment. However, Darby can get really physical with him with safety help over the top and that will take him out of this game. Andrews is always a threat, but he is not looking like 2019 Andrews early on. Yes, the two goal-line TD game was nice Week 1, he can definitely find the end zone again. The biggest concern, he no longer looking like Travis Kelce Jr. in the open field Still ELITE. Ravens need Andrews in the passing game this week.

While Lamar Jackson should have a strong game in Week 4, IT IS NOT looking money in the bank, shawty what you drank, guaranteed in my eyes. He is the most expensive player in DFS formats this week for FanDuel and DraftKings. He has not proved anything to me to make me come close to paying that. Once again the only thing that can save Lamar’s Fantasy day is if the Ravens are up by 20 points in the 4th quarter, and when the game is pretty much over, Lamar gets his vintage 50+ Yard TD run killing the clock.

As I stated earlier, If you drafted Lamar Jackson, one you should signup for Preseason BEAST next season instantly so you do not make the same mistake again next year. Two, start Lamar Jackson as he will still be a Mid-High Top 10 QB upside this week, and you have to take that chance. You cannot bench your 2nd Round Pick in what should be an easy game on paper.
