FANTASY BASEBALL WAIVER WIRE
STREAMING TO THE PLAYOFFS
BEAST DOME NATION.
At this point of the Fantasy Baseball Season, the Waiver Wire is an apoplectic waste land. Yes there is a new hot catcher in Francisco Arcia, and those who are really struggling for a catcher whether you lost Gary Sanchez or you are just getting zero production from the spot, Arcia is worth the short-term grab. Especially now that Maldonado is with the Astros.
With that being said, for those teams in Daily Leagues. Here are the pitchers you can look to stream this week.
DEREK HOLLAND @ SD
Holland has an up and down season, going from starter to bullpen, and now back to starter. The Giants going to San Diego always presents a winnable situation. Holland has been pitching very strong as of late and has not had a bad start since May. Derek Holland is someone you can stream if you want a chance for a quick W with a good ERA.
TANNER ROARK vs. NYM
The trade deadline will be this day, and the Nationals are making their push to the playoffs. There is a chance they trade for a starter, but there is also a good shot the former World Baseball Classic Starting Pitcher for the US makes this start against a Mets team that is in complete sell mode. With no Asdrubal on the team, it is reall Conforto and Finding Nimmo as the only two threats who can make something happen in this matchup. Look for Roark to pick up the win.
DYLAN COVEY vs. KC
Covey pitched a 1 hitter against the Mariners in Seattle, then got crushed by the Angels. Next he gets the Royals, a team that is really turning into a Minor League Squad very quickly. Covey should pitch a strong game against the Royals and keep the ERA low. The chances for a win is always a question mark for any White Sox pitcher, but Covey definitely has what it takes to pickup the W against this squad.
MIKE MONTGOMERY vs. SD
It was a tossup for the Cubs, either Montgomery was going to be starting or Chatwood after the Cubs acquired Hamels. Cubs choose Montgomery and now he goes up against a Padres team that is basically Will Myers and nothing around him. Regardless of how well Montgomery pitches, Cubs fans that will be at Wrigley Field will be very disappointed if the Cubs do not win a game against the Padres during the crunch race of the season. Look for the Cubs to pull off the W in this one.
JAKE ODORIZZI vs. KC
Besides the ERA north of 4.5, Odorizzi has been saving his season by pitching great against the Royals all season. He gets them again and this time without the one bat that can do some big damage with Big Moose now with the Brewers. Odorizzi should be able to notch a Quality Start and as long as the Twins can generate a few runs in this one, which should be no problem against Fillmyer, Twins will win this one.
YONNY CHIRINOS vs. CWS
Yonny is a guy who has pitched well this season, but has seen no hype because of it. He has pitched well against the Red Sox, against the Yankees, and he is a quality starter that nobody really knows. Going up against the White Sox, Chirnos has the skills to show off that he deserves a lot more respect. Look for a great start, look for a W, and look for an outing that has you holding your head up to your league.
ERVIN SANTANA vs. KC
Ervin will show the Fantasy World if he is ready to be a starting pitcher that he once was. Someone with an ERA falling around the 3.00 Range and someone who can get 6+ Ks per game. The Royals offense is in reverse and Ervin Santana is all healed from his finger injury. Look for Santana to be a BEAST and finish your week off with the W.
