Fantasy Baseball Grady Sizemore:

Acting Kinda Shady Ain’t Drafting Grady (2014)

Back in 2009, it was not crazy to consider Grady Sizemore to be the #1 Pick in Fantasy Baseball.  He would hit near .275-.290 every season, and he was just coming off of his first 30 (33 HR)/30 (38 SB) campaign.  He was still young heading into the age of 26.  If you did not draft him #1, you at least had to draft him as a Top 5 Pick.

In 2009, injuries plagued him as he had surgery on his arm and abdomen for a sports Hernia.  He only played 106 Games.

In 2010, Grady tore up his left knee and only played 33 games.

In 2011, Grady tore up his right knee sliding into 2nd base.  He also had to have a second sports Hernia surgery which led to 71 games.

In 2012, Grady had back surgery in the preseason, then his right knee was starting to bother him so they had to cleanup the surgery from 2011 on his knee.  He did not play a game.

2013. Grady decided to not sign with a team and work on getting healthy and back to form.  Now, it is 2014. Grady’s contract is a 1 year deal (with Boston) worth $750K, with incentives that can lead up to 6 Million.  Time to get paid.

GRADY SIZEMORE – OF – BOS

When you look at the Boston OF.  You see there is a huge missing gap with no Jacoby Ellsbury.  No Ellsbury means this team has to rely on Jackey Bradley as their opening day starter.  Is Jackie Bradley good enough to take the starting CF job and run away with it?  The answer is no.  Bradley is a .240-.260 hitter with little power and average speed.  Jackie will definitely get the first short at the CF job for Boston, but do not be surprised as the Red Sox consistently put Grady Sizemore at the spot to see if he can run away with the job.

So far this Spring, everyone in Boston Camp is reporting that Grady Sizemore looks like Grady Sizemore.  He is finally healthy, and health is all of the battle for a superstar like Sizemore.  Now at the age of 31, the days of him stealing 30 Bases are long gone.  Especially after the knee troubles.  But the 20 HR/20 SB potential is still somewhere in there.  If anyone has anything to prove, Sizemore is that player.

The best part about Grady is, he could end up batting lead-off full-time for the Red Sox.  Can you imagine drafting the leadoff hitter for the Redsox with one of the last picks of your draft?  Because that is happening right now as Fantasy Owners are failing to acknowledge that this guy is finally healthy.

My first full season as a Beastdome.com VIP with Muntradamus was a total success. I finally won a fantasy baseball championship!!!

Muntradamus was there to help me every step of the way this season. Draft day (the most nerve wracking day of the season for me) Muntradamus had a plan(Chris Davis!!!!!!!!!!!), and was there to guide me through every pick via Skype screen sharing. This VIP feature is worth the price of the entire VIP package to me. After draft day I felt very comfortable with the team he helped me build.”

With Muntradamus’ help i always felt reassured that I was making the right moves with my team. The inevitability of player injuries is there every season, and you need to quickly grab replacements that will keep your season’s momentum going. I had a few key players get injured over the course of the season. Muntradamus was pretty much always available through Skype chat to help me keep my team strong. I find that the hardest aspect of playing daily fantasy baseball is deciding which players on your team can be waived for those replacements that will make your team better. For the second season in a row he helped me grab a few crucial speed guys down the final stretch of the season in order to gain ground in stolen bases. This ultimately won me my championship.

I really can’t praise him enough for his help. Muntradamus is clearly obsessed with playing fantasy sports, and helping me win a championship became his obsession as well.

THANK YOU, “MUNTS”!!!
