FANTASY BASEBALL DODGERS BROKE BASEBALL

FANTASY BASEBALL DODGERS BROKE BASEBALL

BEAST DOME NATION.
The NBA All-Star Break means to me, the start of the Fantasy Baseball Season. At this point we are towards the end of Free Agency, nearly all the moves that were made this offseason are complete, and the rosters are now set. Of course there are still position battles and players that can emerge during Spring Training, but we no longer have to speculate where the Free Agent stars end up.
The biggest move to me this offseason was the Dodgers getting Kyle Tucker. GIVE ME A BREAK.
MLB is officially broken because they will not implement a salary cap rule. For the past two seasons and even many seasons before that, the Dodgers have had the greatest team on paper by far, and it was not even close. You could place a Futures Dodgers 2026 Championship Ticket today, and by October it will definitely still be in play as long as they remain relatively healthy. This Dodgers team is so stacked they were able to dominate the league while a big name like Mookie Betts hit .250 with 8 SB over his 150 game 2025 season. If Mookie goes to the Pirates and hits .250 with 8 SB, they would finish in last place and demand his $15 Million to be returned instantly. The Dodgers adding Kyle Tucker is beyond a cheat code, and that was probably their second biggest move over the Winter.
The biggest move was the Dodgers added maybe the greatest closer in Baseball over the past handful of seasons in Edwin Diaz. If the Dodgers had one weak spot, it was their bullpen late in games. They have had 100 different closers since they got rid of Kenley Jansen in 2021, even decided to give Sasaki the closer job in the 2025 post season, when he never did that during the regular season as a rookie. Now Edwin Diaz will make sure any glimmer of hope teams have going into the 9th Inning, are completely shutdown.
While the MLB season is pretty much over before it begins. That just makes Fantasy Baseball that much more important heading into 2026. Sure you can root root for your home team, but when they face the Dodgers in the Playoffs it will be a shame. For its one, two, three sweeps, and another Championship. At the old ball game.
