Fantasy Baseball Dan Uggla:

The Uggla Duckling

Consistency is what makes a Star a Star.  From 2007-2011, Uggla never had a season with less than 30 HRs.  Even as a Rookie he hit 27 Bombs.  In his first year as a Brave in 2011, Uggla launched 36 HRs which was a career high.  On top of that, we are talking about a 2B option here.  A position in Fantasy Baseball where an owner will look at a 15 HR Howie Kendrick and select him with confidence.

In 2012, Uggla hit his first brick wall.  A career low batting average of .220 which was a lot lower than his expected .245-.260 Range.  Was the first red Flag.  The next was his career Low 19 HRs.

In 2013, Uggla did not bounce back.  He ended up losing playing time due to the fact he could not keep his batting average above .200.  He finished with a .179 Average to go with 22 HRs.

DAN UGGLA – 2B – ATL

I do not care what you say about Dan Uggla.  The Guy Has Power.  The Guy can easily lead the (2B) position in HRs on any given month.  Yes his batting average has gone from bearable to terrible.  Adam Dunn owners even cringe at the .170.  Still, players have off years.  This guy was an All-Star 3x in his career.  Including his horrible 2012 Season.  He is on a Jacked Braves Lineup who should be very excited to see Evan Gattis and his full-time Role.

The Point is.  Slumps happen in Baseball, and the players that are consistently BEASTS every season such as Miguel Cabrera.  Those players are Hall-of-Fame worthy.  Uggla is not Hall-of-Fame worthy.  He is a Stumpy Power Hitting 2B option on a great offense.  He can easily get hot at any given moment of the season, and Hot Streaks is what makes the player, the player.  Uggla never got on his roll long enough in 2012 or 2013.  Usually going Cold for an Entire Half of a Season before lighting it up after the All-Star Break.

Here is the best Part

Owners have thrown in the white flag on him.  At the Age of 26 Years Old, where players are developing into their Prime.  Fantasy Experts on ESPN, CBS, YAHOO, you name it.  They all have Dan Uggla ranked beneath #20.

Which means all of your competition come Draft Day 2014.  They will all have Dan Uggla Ranked as. (Do Not Draft).   Which means.  Dan Uggla is a great late round target.  You can ditch the 2B position completely until the end of your draft and build other position.  Or you can wait on a player like Howie Kendrick, as well as getting Uggla at the very end of your Draft.  That way if Uggla stays a Streaky Hitter who cannot find his groove, you lose nothing at Risk.

IF you do not DRAFT UGGLA.

And Dan Uggla hits a HR on any day of Opening Week.  Somebody is going to add him.  Somebody is going to get these projected Stats.  Because you did not pull the trigger in the last round of your Draft.

My first full season as a Beastdome.com VIP with Muntradamus was a total success. I finally won a fantasy baseball championship!!!

Muntradamus was there to help me every step of the way this season. Draft day (the most nerve wracking day of the season for me) Muntradamus had a plan(Chris Davis!!!!!!!!!!!), and was there to guide me through every pick via Skype screen sharing. This VIP feature is worth the price of the entire VIP package to me. After draft day I felt very comfortable with the team he helped me build.”

With Muntradamus’ help i always felt reassured that I was making the right moves with my team. The inevitability of player injuries is there every season, and you need to quickly grab replacements that will keep your season’s momentum going. I had a few key players get injured over the course of the season. Muntradamus was pretty much always available through Skype chat to help me keep my team strong. I find that the hardest aspect of playing daily fantasy baseball is deciding which players on your team can be waived for those replacements that will make your team better. For the second season in a row he helped me grab a few crucial speed guys down the final stretch of the season in order to gain ground in stolen bases. This ultimately won me my championship.

I really can’t praise him enough for his help. Muntradamus is clearly obsessed with playing fantasy sports, and helping me win a championship became his obsession as well.

THANK YOU, “MUNTS”!!!
