THE ALL BUST (Sheep) TEAM

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

Year after Year many people decide that the free advice they get from other websites is enough information for them to win their leagues. They can read some reports, they can do their own research, but in the end, you will find you were better off just listening to a BEAST who devotes his life to Fantasy Sports.

Last year if you did not take my Fantasy Baseball Advice, this is the results as far as hitters goes that would have easily landed on your lap.

The ALL BUST (Sheep) TEAM

Catcher

J.T. REALMUTO

Munt Rank #15
ECR #5

J.T. RealBUST is more like it. Realmuto has not shown great power in the early stint of his MLB career. Sure he can hit 20 HRs someday, but the amount of RBI Opportunities Realmuto, are Reallow. I can do this all day. The biggest sheep thing you can do on Draft is, is Draft J.T.RealSheep.

1B

WIL MYERS

Munt Rank #18
ECR #8

Finally Wil Myers had a superstar season. How the did the Padres reward Myers? They traded away Kemp last season and now leave Myers surrounded by Solarte and Minor Leaguers. The Padres play in the most pitcher friendly park in baseball, Myers has zero protection, and do not be surprised if pitchers use all of their focus on shutting down Myers. Which will mean win for the opposing team.

1B

FREDDIE FREEMAN

Munt Rank #16
ECR #6

I am going with two 1B options because my 2B differential does not not have a double digit option. Freddie Freeman is nothing but a line drive contact hitter. The power is more of a mirage than a certainy. Yes Freeman will give you more power than Belt, but you can guarantee Mike Napoli.Kendrys Morales and Chris Carter (Three guys who are not drafted as starters) will end up with more Home Runs and possibly more RBIs than Freeman who goes at a premium price.

3B

JOSE RAMIREZ

Munt Rank #28
ECR #14

Never seen a utility guy get so much hype. In all fairness, Ramirez is being drafted after a lot of the major 3B talent is off the board, however Ramirez and high ceiling is about as high as Shrek’s little mud cave he lived in. Jose does not have a lot of speed, he does not have a lot of power. You are better off with the undrafted Chase Headley and you will get the same numbers.

SS

ADDISON RUSSELL

Munt Rank #23
ECR #9

Russell does not have pop. He does not have speed. He also has Javier Baez breathing down his throat for playing time. Addison Russell is nothing more than a solid defensive Shortsop. Throw him on the Chicago Cubs and all the Sheep Experts start going nuts saying he is Top 10.

OF

A.J. POLLOCK

Munt Rank #46
ECR #11

The first thing people say to me too often is, “Wow you hate A.J. Pollock (as a baseball player).” I have been writing him off since the start of Spring Training last year, and I did the same heading into this season.

What did Pollock do this spring? He hit less than .170. Granted it is Spring Training, still how does A.J. POLLOCK get RANKED AHEAD OF GIANCARLO STANTON or MARK TRUMBO?? Sheep Experts. Can’t live with them. Can’t live with them.

STEPHEN PISCOTTY

Munt Rank #63
ECR #33

Piscotty has not shown enough power to get overly excited about, nor enough anything else, to be considered a Top 50 OF. Piscotty should really be lower on my list but only the Top 50 OF counts as far as Rank goes. Piscotty is someone you can skip on Draft Day, and if his numbers balloon up to 30 HR, you can ask his pharmacist what steroids he takes

ANDREW BENINTENDI

Munt Rank #69
ECR #34

A name that is sure to stump even the in the Schwab if you ahd to spell. Andrew is nothing more than a player wearing a Red Sox Jersey. Apparently that is the only stat needed to be ranked inside the Top 35 OF options.

If you want someone who may steal 15 Bases and hit maybe 15 HR. Maybe for both, really 10/10 is more realistic and some good batting average. Look no further than the 170lb Benintendi.

SP

JOHN LACKEY
Munt Rank #56
ECR #36

Say hello to a pitcher who is basically over the hill. No longer is the NL Central the weak hitting division it once was, sort of minus the Cardinals. Lackey is on his last arm these days and the only thing you can ask for is Wins and the potential 5+ Ks. If the run support does not come, the ERA that will likely be in the 4.0+ Range and the High WHIP will not be pretty.

KEVIN GAUSMAN
Munt Rank #58
ECR #37

Gausman is not an impressive pitcher. He does not strikeout a lot of hitters, and batters make pretty contact against his pitches. He also pitches in the AL East where he has to pitch at Yankee Stadium and Fenway. Gausman is not a great pitcher going against premiere hitters. Chris Tillman and Dylan Bundy are better pitchers on Baltimore than Gausman.
