FANTASY BASEBALL BEAST OF THE NIGHT

SCHERZ DAWG ROUND II

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

Earlier this week I wrote about Max Scherzer being my BEAST of the Night. He delivered a gem allowing 1 ER in 6 INN with 7 Ks. Looking like an absolute BEAST and pitching out of trouble where he ran into more than expected. We will roll with Scherz Dawg to finish the Week strong and remind us why he is the best pitcher of Fantasy Baseball in the last decade!

I remember like it was yesterday. 2013, August 3rd. I was in the FanDuel Baseball Championship in Las Vegas that I Qualified for. Qualifying for a Championship is literally the greatest feeling in the world. The emotions that build up as I remember all the moments, I can scream and wake up all my neighbors at 3am as I write this article. I have been blessed to do it 12x, and I pray to the Lord Jesus Christ & God that my number multiplies larger than I can ever ask for. TRUST THE PROCESS! AMEN!

As I sit down in the beautiful lounge at The Venetian to make my lineup. Back when people could be in Vegas. I also moved down there to get an early Home Field advantage. I had to make a Championship Roster for that tournament. I saw Scherzer on the Mound against the Chicago White Sox. It was a nice Home-Start and even though he came at a premium price. I paid it to put him on my FanDuel Roster. How did he perform?

Beautiful start delivered a BEAST performance. He is such a Primetime pitcher and in today’s baseball, those come at a premium. When you have the chance to use one in a great spot start, throw down baby.

Sunday Scherzer takes the mound against a HOT Orioles team. So HOT! They are 2nd place in the AL East. Without BEAST DOME Legend Chris Davis hitting 1 HR?! What was once a legendary matchup, will once again be a Legendary matchup 7 Years Later when the two square off Sunday. Outside of CRUSH and his dominant, .136 batting average, Scherzer should be able to mow down this Orioles team.

Rio Ruiz is on Fire, and I do remember when Ruiz hit his first HR ever off of Scherzer. Back when he was with Atlanta, watched it live as I had Scherzer on my squad that day. Santa’s Rain Deer (Santander) is alright, but he cannot hit Scherz. Alberto will have trouble against the power righty, same with Nunez. Leaving the rest of the lineup of scrubs who would not start for another MLB team.

The biggest X-Factor of them all is look at who is on the mound oppose to Scherz. It is John Means, and he does not Mean business as he will be lucky to last 5 Innings against an Nationals offense that has been very inconsistent. Means does not have a strikeout pitch, just a big lofty lefty curve that double dares the hitters to smash the ball. Most of the time, hitters do smash it. Expect Scherzer to get the run support and deliver a BEAST performance.
