Yesterday I found myself with last second tickets to the Dodgers/Blue Jays game, and let me tell you first hand. If your seats are not in the shade for a summertime baseball game, you are asking to be baked into your seat. I felt melted after the game. I felt like David Wells on pitch 125 in the 9th inning needing one more out to complete my two hitter performance, on a hot summer day, in Chicago. By the time I got home from the game, the thought of doing anything else besides going to sleep left my soul.

It is a new day, and I am ready to get back on the mound.

It is a Thursday Baseball day, my favorite day of the week for the Baseball season. Let us dive straight into what our opportunity is.

NATIONALS @ METS

Josiah Gray is pitching some of the best baseball he has pitched in his young career. This Mets offense can hit Josiah if he is off his game, but the lineup after Alonso, aka 5-9, does not scare me at all. As long as Josiah is careful he does not allow hitters to barrel up on him, which is his specialty of hitting spots instead of throwing gas, then the Mets hitters will spiral into a lot of zero innings.

Senga is always tough and his forkball moves so much, the Nationals do not have the hitters that can really compete. Look for it to be a tough day for the Nationals hitters in this game, especially on the road. Senga should be able to go on cruise control.

CUBS @ CARDINALS

Justin Steele was mowing his way through Cardinals hitters last week, now he has to do it on the road. Cardinals definitely have the bats to hit him deep, but Steele looked really dominant in that last start against them. Still, I am a firm believer that it is tough for a pitcher to face a team twice in a row, Cardinals ready for some home revenge.

Miles Mikolas is not the same pitcher as he was a year ago. Too many pitches left over the heart of the plate, and these Cubs hitters can take advantage of the mistakes. Bellinger is on fire on top of it all, and Belli is quickly earning the nickname of the Cardinals Killer for how dominant he was in their last series against them. Mikolas is in trouble.

INDIANS @ WHITE SOX

Tanner Bibee has turned into the new Shane Bieber for the Indians. Bibee is very good, tons of movement and his stats this season back that up with a 3.04 ERA and nearly 1K/1INN. The White Sox offense is not really on fire like they were hitting a week ago. Bibee is hot and the White Sox bats will likely find themselves with a lot of zeroes every Innning.

Dylan Cease has been inconsistent after dominating the game a season ago. Good news is he usually is able to contain the Indians offense every start. Cease is in a nice groove and he is at home, so he has those two things working for him. Also the Indians just lost Ahmed Rosario, another thing helping him. Only downside is Jose Ramirez and the Indians offense has some confidence rolling into this series after rolling over the Royals the last two games.
