FANTASY BASEBALL 1B RANKINGS 2026

FANTASY BASEBALL 1B RANKINGS

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

You can read my article on Vlad Guerrero Jr. on why he is on my BUST list and the fall of the 1B position.

BEASTS

MATT OLSON/PETE ALONSO

Both of these players are legitimate threats to lead the MLB in Home Runs. They likely will not, but no longer is the 1B position stacked with all the Top Power Hitters like days past of Frank Thomas, Big Mac, and more. Alonso and Olson can both hit 50, but they will both likely end up in the 40s. I do like them, we will see how it all works out into the Draft Strategy.

CHRISTIAN WALKER

Walker is treated way below than his actual value. Walker is a safe 30 HR/100 RBI threat. He has big league power and he will not kill your batting average. Walker is a great hitter and he will always have RBI opportunities batting in the heart of the Astros lineup.

JAKE BURGER

Burger was once upon a time among the HR leaders. He finished the season with 30 HRs, but Jake Burger can hit the baseball far and playing a full season in Texas should bring out the best in his bat. He will be hitting in the heart of the Rangers order and can easily bring everything back to his glory days.

TRISTON CASAS

30 HR is the sky high potential for Triston Casas who was born to club baseballs. Triston has natural huge power and when he is 100% healthy, he will be in the everyday lineup. Do not forget BEAST DOME is the one who discovered Triston Casas in the Rock the Casas series. Casas is easily one of the best draft values in baseball.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

These guys are not on my radar but they are worth mentioning.

NICK KURTZ

Kurtz is a BEAST, there is no doubt about it. However I do not want to draft a player so high that is really unproven, if he slips great, but I do not like the huge risk of it being a fluke Rookie Year. For the record I do like him to have a good year, just don’t want to pay the prove it price.

ALEC BURLESON

Burleson is a great contact hitter, not a huge power hitter. I do not like contact hitters at 1B, he is a better real life player than a Fantasy player. From Mark McGwire to Alec Burleson, the Cardinals certainly are a different team than they once were as they do not have a true power talent. Alec will get his RBIs but less than 20 HRs is not ideal at all from the 1B position.

JAC CAGLIANONE

The guy hit less than .200 and had little power in his first call up last year with the Royals. Maybe he is the real deal, but at this point if he hits 20 HRs that would be a big win for him, the guy was ice cold all 2025 and I do not want to pay any price of that in 2026.

BEN RICE

Read the catcher article to see why I do not like Ben Rice this year, the Yankees are just too stacked. Paul Goldschmidt still has something left in the tank and it is hard to imagine him sitting on the bench more than one game in a row.

KYLE MANZARDO

Manzardo chews bubble gum and crushes pitchers. Good news for him is he is out of bubble gum. Manzardo is one of those names that is not flashy, even though it is a flashy name, but he can end up with a very solid season and is a fine option if you miss the big names.
