You have probably heard it all this year, as we are hours away from the Super Bowl. Taylor Swift’s favorite number is 13, 5+8 = 13. Aliens invade the game and it ends in a 0-0 tie. We know the Tokyo flight the day before, Jackson Mahomes getting denied at club, we know the fire alarm at 6am. We even know that 68 million adults are placing a bet on the Super Bowl.
However here is the truth of it all, and I will make it short and simple.
This 49ers team is not that good of a team. On paper, ya they are amazing they have a great offense and a great defense. However execution for this team is below par and Kyle Shanahan is the most overrated coach of all time not knowing how to run a flawless game plan. Give Kyle the Jets, they would not win a game.
The 49ers barely escaped the Packers, in a game they trailed in the second half. Then they barely beat the Lions in one of the worst collapses in some time. They are just not that good. Brock is fine, and he can get in a zone, but the zones do not last all game and only come in moments. This Chiefs defense does not allow weapons to be wide open like the Packers/Lions defense does. The run D for the Chiefs is top level, so CMC is not going to see consistent huge runs like he pulled off against the Lions and Packers.
This Chiefs team is the stronger team than the 49ers. This Chiefs team is battle-tested and battle-tested approved. Mahomes has won it all multiple times and he lost it all as well, losing to Tom Brady in the Super Bowl. The 49ers defense was getting walked all over by the Lions, and the Packers offense that should not have even been in the playoffs was finding consistent success. Mahomes got this.
