Fell In Love With A Stribler (De’Zhaun Stribling)

Fantasy Football BEAST OR BUST

BEAST DOME NATION.

Every preseason, Rookies get the chance to shine. WRs especially get their chance to shine as they are usually seeing multiple targets and going up against backups. Well the 49ers went up against the Titans starters, and Stribling was getting open pretty easily.

When you look at Stribling, you see a young Michael Crabtree. Maybe it is because they both wore #15, but Stribling is long, fast, and he can get open. Those are three things you want from any WR. While I have no complaint about his game, and in fact I do think he is probably better than some of the WRs on his team, I am not a fan of him in Fantasy Football this season.

The 49ers are an offense that is centered around Christian McCaffrey, who is not part of the Draft list this season, unless he falls to the end of Round 1. Once CMC gets going, Purdy gets going, because defenses rather the 49ers throw and only leave one saftey high. Purdy has had a lot of inconsistent moments in his career, but he is starting to make me a believer as far as not being as awful of a QB as he has been. He did not earn the nickname, Small Cock Brock, for nothing.

This season Brock has more options than ever, even with Ricky Pearsall who was never part of the Draft Guide this Summer, and is now out for the season. Mike Evans comes into town, hard to argue he is not an alpha #1 WR. George Kittle is maybe a Hall Of Famer, so is Evans for the record. On top of that Deebo Samuel just signed with the 49ers, Brock and him already have a bond. The 49ers also reached out and grabbed Christian Kirk who may or may not be ready for Week 1, and is only a few years removed from being a WR2 in all Fantasy Football leagues. Then to add icing on the cake, Demarcus Robinson who would probably be a #2 WR for a lot of teams, is also on the squad as WR4. When you add up all those possible targets, plus the fact that CMC catches 100 balls himself, how is Brock going to find Stribling?

I still remember my closest friends first lap dance in Mexico when he was 15 years old and he paid $10 for one song, she definitely cut the song early, his words. The pretty stripper then told him that she liked him and called him guapo, he was in love, but that was his last $10. Now looking back we realize he just fell in love with a with an illusion. Same thing goes for Stribling, sure he looks like a WR2 on your fantasy roster, but it is all just an illusion. When the 49ers are healthy, Brock has other mouthes to feed consistently before ever looking Stribling’s way.

SHORT TERM: BUST

Unless there are a couple injuries to 49ers pass catchers, Stribling will be an inconsistent Fantasy Football target who will play more like a Waiver Wire option than a WR3 on your Fantasy roster.

LONG TERM: BEAST

Deebo will be gone next year, and probably Kirk or Robinson will be gone next year, if not both. When it is Stribling and Mike Evans as the #1/#2 WR, Stribling will be a pretty awesome fantasy option. However right now he is just a 15 year old boy getting his first lap dance in Mexico, those consistent targets he got in the preseason opener are not real, he is not guapo, which translates to WR2/3. It was all just an illusion for the 2026 season. You can read all my preseason analysis on the BEAST DOME Draft Guide updated daily.
