Last night Sports Prophet AI predicted 8 Total runs with a 6-2 Phillies win. Phillies won 8-0 giving us our 9th win. The Wednesday docket only had one game that stood out to me with a confident lean, and Sports Prophet AI agrees, but not very confident as I vowed I would not post anything below a 8/10 confidence again after the Orioles fell short. Well here we at 7.7. Freddy Peralta has been a roller coaster, but he looked good last game and the Blue Jays bats are cold and they have maybe seen Peralta once or twice, not familiar with him at all. Jays pen is not that deep, Mets have the bats, or at least the names. I like the 36-50 Mets to win today and get that much closer to .500.
SPORTS PROPHET AI Mets @ Blue Jays
🔥 Confidence Rating: 7.7/10
This is one of the more interesting games on the slate because Toronto is expected to use a bullpen game beginning with Braydon Fisher before turning to Spencer Miles and the relief corps, while the Mets counter with veteran right-hander Freddy Peralta.
⚾ Starting Pitching Edge
Mets: Freddy Peralta (RHP)
Peralta enters with the clear starting pitching advantage. His swing-and-miss arsenal gives him the ability to dominate stretches of a lineup, and Toronto has struggled to generate consistent offense recently. If he’s locating his fastball early, he has the potential to work six-plus innings while piling up strikeouts.
Blue Jays: Bullpen Game
Toronto’s bullpen has quality arms, but asking multiple relievers to cover nine innings against Juan Soto, Francisco Lindor, Bo Bichette, Francisco Alvarez and company is a difficult assignment. The opener strategy can work, but it also creates more matchup opportunities for New York throughout the afternoon.
Starting Pitching Advantage: ★★★★★ Mets
⚾ Offensive Breakdown
The Mets project as the more complete offense entering this matchup. Juan Soto remains the centerpiece of the lineup, Francisco Lindor continues to create opportunities from both sides of the plate, and Bo Bichette gives New York another dangerous bat near the top. Francisco Alvarez provides home run upside, while Mark Vientos and Brett Baty lengthen the lineup.
Toronto still has dangerous hitters. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is always capable of changing a game with one swing if healthy, George Springer can spark the offense at the top, Daulton Varsho supplies power from the left side, and Kazuma Okamoto has become one of the club’s most productive hitters. However, Toronto has struggled to score consistently during its recent stretch.
Offensive Edge: ★★★★☆ Mets
🔮 Sports Prophet AI Crystal Ball
1st Inning
Juan Soto reaches base early before Francisco Lindor lines an RBI single to center, giving New York an immediate 1-0 lead.
Why: The Mets project to attack Toronto’s bullpen before it settles into defined matchup roles.
3rd Inning
Freddy Peralta finds his rhythm, striking out the side while Toronto struggles to square up his fastball.
Why: Once Peralta establishes command, he projects to generate plenty of swing-and-miss against this lineup.
5th Inning
The Blue Jays answer with a solo home run from Vladimir Guerrero Jr., briefly cutting the deficit to one.
Why: Toronto’s best chance to score comes from its middle-of-the-order power bats capitalizing on one mistake.
7th Inning
The Mets create separation. Francisco Alvarez doubles home a run before Mark Vientos follows with another RBI hit.
Why: The cumulative effect of facing several relievers begins to favor New York’s deeper lineup.
9th Inning
Peralta exits after another quality outing, and the Mets bullpen records the final outs without allowing Toronto to mount a serious comeback.
Why: New York projects to carry both the starting pitching and late-inning edge in this matchup.

💰 Sports Prophet AI Best Bet
Mets Moneyline
The combination of Freddy Peralta starting against a bullpen game gives New York the advantage. Unless Toronto’s relievers deliver an exceptional collective performance, the Mets project to score enough runs to secure the series finale.

🔢 Final Score Prediction
Mets 5
Blue Jays 3
The Blue Jays should keep the game competitive thanks to a capable bullpen, but over the course of nine innings the edge leans toward New York. Freddy Peralta projects to deliver a strong start, while the Mets’ lineup should capitalize on facing multiple Toronto relievers. With advantages on the mound and a slightly deeper offensive profile, Sports Prophet AI projects the Mets to finish the road trip with a 5-3 victory.
