Will Levis, the human MEME, is no longer going to offer his services for the 2025 season as it is deemed a shoulder injury he suffered from last year has continued to be a problem, to the point where he has to get surgery NOW to fix it. Will Levis has shown flashes of brilliance, when it comes to going viral because of hilarious plays he somehow commits. Now we are left wondering what other memes we could have been blessed with this during the preseason.

Which means Tim Boyle is one step closer to being the starting QB. It is now Brandon Allen vs. Tim Boyle for the chance to backup Cam Ward. Brandon Allen has been blessed in his career to play with Ja’Maar Chase and Tee Higgins, then go to the 49ers and play with their weapons. Has only looked half decent in those scenarios. Tim Boyle has been on survival mode playing with the worst teams in the NFL (Lions *when they could not win, Bears *last Place, Jets *Saleh days). For the first time, Tim Boyle has a coach that believes in him.

Coach Callahan remembers enjoying watching Tim Boyle warm up with the Packers back in the day, when asked  at a press conference who he would prepare for last season when the Titans took on the Dolphins on Monday Night Football. Head Coke McDaniels went with Tyler Huntley because he liked his nickname Snoop and was fooled by the world that he was a Pro Bowl QB, only because he was a last second injury replacement with his 3 TDs in 5 games with 203 Passing Yards. Yes those were Huntley’s stats the year he was selected to the Pro Bowl.

With Will Levis sidelined, Tim Boyle is one step closer to being the starting QB. The absence of Will Levis puts additional pressure on Boyle and Allen to step up and fill the void left by Will Levis.

The Titans beat the Dolphins. The game Levis appeared to hurt his shoulder as Mason Rudolph took over in the second half. Huntley looked horrible, could not get his team driving at all. Levis after the game was on camera walking towards Tim Boyle, and Boyle asking Levis how his shoulder was. The two went to the same High School, Boyle was the legend then Levis took over when Boyle went to College. Tim Boyle runs a 5 year camp every summer at the High School, Levis was a counselor at the camp in previous years, but could not make it this year due to a wedding. Yes I go that deep in the paint with my research.

Tim Boyle is now in a situation where he needs to rise to the occasion, especially with Will Levis out of the picture.

Levis was showing he was in pain, then Mason Rudolph walked over, Levis motioned him to get away like he wanted nothing to do with Rudolph. Tim Boyle laughed. Now Tim Boyle is in prime position to be a superstar this preseason.

When you play Madden on Rookie Mode, it is not hard to dominate. You almost have to have no IQ at all to not be good at Madden on Rookie Mode. Well that is the case when you compare College Football to NFL Football, a major reason I do not waste my time following any players or teams. Here are Cam Ward’s 2024 Highlights.

If you notice there are one of two things, if not both things on 99% of the plays in this video. One, Cam Ward has all day to throw with no pressure at all. Two, his weapon he is throwing to is wide open. In the NFL, that does not happen at all. Sure Cam can throw a nice seam route to a WIDE OPEN WR with 7 seconds and nobody in his face. In the NFL the only time that happens is practice and the defense is not on the field.

This season, the pressure to perform will also highlight the absence of Will Levis and what he could contribute if he were on the field.

What this tape teaches me, he is not for sure going to be a good NFL QB, those highlights are situations he will never get in the NFL. So I decided to find a new tape.

If you notice in this tape, nearly every player he is throwing to is wide open, and he stares down his weapon. If you stare down your weapon in the NFL, you are throwing a Pick 6 no questions asked. Also in nearly every single throw in this video, the DB is nowhere to be found guarding WRs closely. That is just not how the NFL works.

In the context of Cam Ward’s performance, the contrast with Will Levis’s past highlights becomes even more pronounced.

CONCLUSION

Arm Strength, ability to buy time with legs. Very solid. If it was a white QB, I think we would say nothing stands out. However for some reason Cam Ward just adds a little more swag to his game than your typical Will Howard QB.

There is an undeniable hype surrounding Cam Ward, but it’s important to remember the expectations that once surrounded Will Levis.

With all that being said, if he is going to be a successful QB in the NFL it is going to take A LOT of growth. Ability to read defenses will need a complete overhaul, now that he is playing on All-Madden Mode. Not staring down his WRs is going to have to be a whole new thing he adjusts to. Most important of all, how does Cam Ward deal with constant pressures, constant hits, real defensive schemes, and real talent on defense. In none of the videos Cam Ward has a dirty jersey!

The transition from college to the NFL has been difficult for many, including Will Levis, who faced his own challenges in adapting to the professional level.

Going from College to the Pros in this scenario for Cam Ward will be like being the star QB for a Private School 8th Grade Flag Football team. To now playing a Football game in Prison. I am not so convinced that Cam Ward was worth the #1 Pick. I will be very curious to see how he looks during the preseason before I make the final call.

Can Cam Ward fill the shoes left by Will Levis? On the Football field, yes that is not a problem. As far as being everyone’s favorite QB to share a laugh about, only time will tell as we watch their paths diverge.

*For now, we will see how he adjusts during the preseason, but his college career means NOTHING! Titans would have been better off going with a real skill player.*
