Last NBA season around the NBA Trade Deadline (2/9/24) I wrote the article of the century.

HOW THE WEST WAS WON

I talked about how the Mavericks getting Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington at the NBA Trade Deadline was the recipe for the Mavericks winning the West. AND THEY DID! Yes I put money it.

This season, the Lakers have been an interesting team. They started the season with JJ Redick at coach (Huge upgrade over Darvin “Hands in my Hot Pocket” Ham), they traded D’Angelo Russell for Dorian Finney Smith (Feels like they could have got more, DFS is a system player and if they do not win it all this year then who cares trading away a flashy semi-star for a system player), then out of nowhere one night, they traded Anthony Davis (& Max Christie) for Luka. When this trade went down, you could not go anywhere in LA without giving praise to the GM Rob Pelinka, he instantly became the most famous person in LA over night. However there was one problem, the Lakers did not have a center. You could not go anywhere in LA without a Lakers fan complaining, we do not have a Center.

Bam just before the trade deadline, he answered all of the Lakers fans prayers with trading Dalton Knecht for Mark Williams. Williams is a walking 20/10 BEAST that would be a much bigger name if he played on a better team than the Charlotte Hornets. The only people who watch Hornets games are Hornets fans, and people that have money on the Hornets games. Then out of nowhere, the Lakers decide that Mark Williams could not pass his physical and that the trade gets rescinded. Mark Williams was surprised, the Hornets were surprised, Hornets even filed an appeal saying that it is BULL SHIT the Lakers did not take Mark Williams. Mark went on to have a great second half of the season, not missing any games because of any injury. When Williams was asked about the report, he said he has never missed a game because of the injuries the Lakers reported.

Now we are in the playoffs. The T-Wolves are getting whatever they want. IF AN ANNOUNCER EVER SAYS PLAYING WITH THEIR FOOD AGAIN I AM GOING TO FUCKING LOSE IT! DUMBEST LINE OF ALL TIME!

Julius Randle can bully ball anyone into the paint, uncontested finish at the rim. Anthony Edwards can get by any Lakers defender, someone comes to double, wide open 3 Pointer. The Lakers need to play Jaxson Hayes if they have any chance. When Hayes is in the game, he at least makes it difficult for players to finish contested at the rim. Without Hayes, Lakers are running for their LIVES playing no defense at all.

We will see if the Lakers can get past the Wolves, you know the networks want it to be a 7 game series. If they do somehow face a Warriors team in the second round. The Lakers Dream is still alive as they can contend with the Warriors without a big man, as the Warriors play just as small as the Lakers. However a big strong team like Minnesota, with Dorian Finney Smith as the only big man on the Lakers. They are in trouble, and if Rob Pelinka is the one who brought back Knecht (who does not even play in the rotation) it is Rob’s fault. With Mark Williams, LAKERS IN 5! With original Lakers 5 with Anthony Davis. LAKERS IN 5!
