MUNTRADAMUS BOOT CAMP\nDAY 8b\nTime To Fly? (Philadelphia Eagles)\n \n\nBy Muntradamus\n\nBEAST DOME NATION.\n\nThe Eagles have not been a prolific team since Donovan McNabb was QB. Carson Wentz is beginning to show signs of a QB who can win games, but can he put up big numbers?\nDEFENSE\nB+\nThe Eagles added Timmy Jernigan, a DT who really was the best pass rusher the Ravens had all of last season. Jernigan in Jim Schwartz Defensive system should put up a big season. Combine him with Graham\/Curry\/Cox, and this is a D-Line no team wants to go up against. When you throw in 1st round DE Derek Barnett and Chris Long also on the bench. This D-Line can be one of the best in the game.\n\nNigel Bradham should once again be a star with Mychael Kendricks and Jordan Hicks both above average players at OLB. The Secondary added once upon a time star Patrick Robinson to play one CB along with last year Rookie Bust Jalen Mills. The strength is their veteran safeties with Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod. The Eagles also spent 2nd\/3rd Round Draft Picks on CBs led by Ron Brooks.\n\nAll in all, this is a strong defensive unit once again heading into 2017. Last season we saw the Eagles D drastically improve under Schwartz, and there is no reason to believe we will not see improvement once again in 2017.\nOFFENSE\nB\nCarson Wentz (QB2) has more weapons than he has ever had in his brief 1 year career. The Addition of Alshon Jeffery (WR 2) to go with Torrey Smith (Waiver Wire) makes the Eagles passing attack stronger than ever. Jordan Matthews (WR 2\/3) should continue to rack up the slot targets and should be a strong option for Wentz. However the downfield threat of Alshon Jeffery should make this offensive more explosive than ever. Little too early to give exact numbers for Alshon, but 1000+ Yards should be automatic as well as 8 TD. Alshon will be targeted a lot.\n\r\nThe thing that helps Carson Wentz the most is the fact that Darren Sproles (RB 2\/3) is supposed to lead the way in the Eagles backfield as Ryan Mathews is expected to be released. Wendell Smallwood (RB 4\/5) did not look impressive as a rookie and Darren Sproles should get all the touches the old veteran can handle. Goal line TDs might goto Carson Wentz and his ability to run in the redzone. Ertz-Rent-a-Bust (TE 2) could be somewhat decent in the TD department, but he will once again be overhyped.\n\r\nWith everything in place, it is up to the Eagles to have a strong O-Line and they decided to not make any moves. Which could be chemistry at the end of the day when it is all said and done.\n\r\n\nIF MUNTRADAMUS WAS COACH\nLet Carson Wentz run the West Coast Offense to the MAX. Small passes to Sproles and Matthews will set up the Home Run plays to Alshon Jeffery. If teams really start to sleep on the deep bomb, Torrey Smith will take full advantage who has his best QB since Joe Flacco.\n\nDarren Sproles will get his 1,000 Total Yards. Let Carson Wentz be Rich Gannon and everything will fall into place.\nEARLY DRAFT STRATEGY\nNo player on the Eagles seems to be Must-Draft, but the Darren Sproles situation has some nice upside. In PPR leagues, Sproles could be an every week RB2.\n\nCarson Wentz should be good, but there is too much talent in the NFL to rely on him for Fantasy purposes. Alshon and Jordan Matthews will be good, but not ready to invest a big pick in either player.
