PGA CHAMPIONSHIP (Sleeper 3)
BEAST DOME NATION.
Unfortunately for us, but fortunate for James Dalthorp III, his journey of going pro is in the way of his schedule to sit down and give us his usual great analysis. Last week he had Brendon Todd as his #6 Golfer in his Rankings, as he just fell short of winning the Championship despite leading the field the first three days of the tournament.
With James in BEAST MODE, I am going to give you three underdogs who could be playing meaningful golf on Championship Sunday.
MUNTRADAMUS SLEEPER 3
Hughes has been maybe the best putter since the return of Covid-19. Hughes has been doing everything right, but getting zero credit as he usually falls out of the race by the championship Sunday. However his first three days in each tournament are usually money and if he continues to putt like he is, which leaves us with zero reason why anything should change, than Hughes will continue to compete.
The second most underrated putter, learned from JD3 on McCarthy. Denny can get hot and if he is hot the putt opportunities will be there. Reaching greens in regulation are becoming more and more his thing as he continues to climb leaderboards into somewhat contention on Sunday. Doubt McCarthy wins this tournament, however he can be a great sleeper so you can load up on the big guns.
Zhang was the hottest golfer in the PGA that nobody knew about. Took a week off and I am sure the Fantasy Golf world will have already forgot about the Zhang dynasty. Zhang is as good as it gets to shooting an even-par in every single round. Last season -8 won it all, -6 came in 2nd place. That is -2 each day, and -2 is Zhang’s middle name. Zhang will be in contention doing what he normally does, just get in the green in regulation, then hope he makes the first putt but always hits the second one.
