FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE WEEK 2 BEAST OR BUST JAYLEN WARREN

FANTASY FOOTBALL WAIVER WIRE WEEK 2

BEAST OR BUST JAYLEN WARREN

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

It took less than a week for so many medical professionals to jump back and forth claiming one is wrong, and one is right. Many believe Najee Harris is dealing with an injury that will linger all season and he should be out for at least a few weeks, while the Steelers have come out and said that Najee Harris is playing Week 2.

Regardless of Najee being with the Steelers for Week 2, many Fantasy sheep are coming out of the barn and claiming that Jaylen Warren is someone you want to add in all Fantasy Football leagues. The real question is why?

The Pittsburgh Steelers O-Line is so bad, it was a no-brainer for Big Ben to retire at the end of last season as his body could not go through all the hits he took in 2021, as well as all the other hits he took his entire career. Najee Harris runs into a brick wall every time he touches the ball, but Najee is so big and strong that in volume he ends up with his RB1 numbers.

Jaylen Warren on the other hand. He is a little 5’8 RB who goes down on first contact. All that speed Warren has means nothing when there are defenders in his lap instantly every time he touches the ball. If you look at Jaylen’s highlight tapes from college, he is untouched in nearly all of his plays. That does not happen in the NFL, especially behind a bad Steelers O-Line. When he is breaking tackles, it is by college kids, not the best of the best Football players like he is going up against now.

The main reason not to fall in love with Jaylen Warren is the fact that Benny Snell is still on the Steelers roster. While Snell never panned out to being the star RB some people thought he may be. He is still a physical RB that will run up the middle time after time. If the Steelers ask Jaylen Warren to touch the ball 15x in a game, he will never be himself the rest of the season with all the hits he will take. Benny Snell can absorb contact and he will be involved heavily. Do not forget Jaylen Warren was an Undrafted player this season. The last time an undrafted Rookie was relevant in Fantasy Football his Rookie season, well I could not tell you but feel free to tweet at me the answer @Muntradamus.

Final Result for Jaylen Warren

BUST

Do not add Jaylen Warren on any Fantasy Roster. He is going to be on the Waiver Wire sooner than you picked him up if you do.
