ROOKIE PROFILE BEAST OR BUST

First time touching the ball, 100 yard kick off return for a Touchdown. While it was just preseason, Treveyon Henderson’s NFL career could not have gotten off to a better start than it just did. However as good of a start it is, that is pretty much where the positive of this story ends.

TreVeyon Henderson may have talent, but at this moment now he is not on the right team to fully display his talent. Rhamondre Stevenson is running like a man possessed right now. Stevenson is hitting the hole fast and hard. While Henderson does not look like a slouch himself, Stevenson is running like he could be a starter for just about every team in the NFL. Last season Stevenson had fumbling issues, it looks his new coach Mike Vrabel is putting those issues in the rear view mirror and giving Rhamondre a new lease on life.

Henderson may have better 3rd down RB skills than Stevenson, maybe even a little more speed. However when it comes to 3rd down RB skills, Antonio Gibson may be the most underrated 3rd down RB in the NFL. Gibson has more size than Henderson, likely better hands than Henderson, and is a more physical runner than Henderson. While Treveyon may have a little more speed, the Patriots would definitely be limiting their upside if they feel Gibson should sit on the bench for the Rookie.

In my eye, Antonio Gibson is the perfect combination of both Stevenson/Henderson, and in reality might even be the best RB the Patriots have to offer. While Vrabel will definitely not go that route, the truth alone of the above statement will cause this to be a RBBC that you want to avoid in Fantasy. Despite all that, Sheep are taking the Rookie RB like he is a stud in the 6th Round. I see him being drafted ahead of rock solid options with little downside in comparison like James Conner. I see Henderson being drafted in the same range as other Rookie RB BUST RJ Harvey.

On Draft Day when you see someone else reaching for TreVeyon Henderson in your Draft you can smile to yourself and think, another one bites the dust, glad I read BEASTDOME.com. Sheep are drafting a part-time player with a very valuable draft pick.
