Just like that, Tim Boyle has signed with the Dolphins. Mike McDaniels likes him, the GM likes him, and Skylar Thompson is not a good QB. After preseason Week 1, I have seen enough of Skylar. He is timid in the pocket, his throws are not consistent at all, he makes mistakes. The difference between Tim Boyle and Skylar Thompson that stands out the most, Tim makes quick decisions and does not take sacks. In fact, Boyle was not sacked the entire preseason. Once Boyle learns the playbook, he will be the backup QB. Or it will take three possessions of Dolphins fans and McDaniels watching Skylar play against a real defense before Boyle is subbed in.
