FANTASY FOOTBALL THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS WEEK 6

LIGHTS. CAMERA. GO HOME.

BEAST DOME NATION.

The Commanders and the Bears. Easily, the worst Primetime matchup of All-Time. Last week we saw a terrible game with the Broncos and Colts, this game can easily outdo that matchup as the worst game of all-time.

You are watching this game because you either care about Fantasy Football, or you grew up loving one of these teams. The way both these Franchises have performed in the last decade, it is hard to imagine either of these teams even own a fan base. It is horrendous that they are performing for the world on Thursday Night.

The Commanders would love to get Brian Robinson Jr. going in this one. Last week the Commanders could not run the ball if their life depended on it, and when they fell behind, it was game over for Robinson Jr. The Bears Run D is no longer the big threat run D they were in the past, but they have done a good job of limiting star RBs to not burst out with a lot of highlight reel runs. In the cold weather of Chicago, the Bears will likely crowd the box.

If the Bears crowd the box to shutdown the run, Carson Wentz has to get his deep ball cannon going which has had some success. Last week “DIY” Dymari Brown was able to get under a deep bomb from Wentz that went for a 70+ Yard TD, and caught another tightly contested ball for a TD. He will be needed again with both Logan Thomas and Dotson out. Wentz has been hooking up with McLaurin nicely this season, like a couple of high school kids underneath the bleachers. Jaylon Johnson returns, and he will do what he can to take Scary Terry out from behind the bleachers, and onto the Football field where he will be locked up. Still the target volume cannot be ignored.

The Bears offense this season has been boring to say the least. Justin Fields is running for his life more than he is throwing a first down, and this Commanders pass rush will try to get in Fields face quickly. The Bears are not blocking well at all to start the season, and this looks like a disaster waiting to happen. What has been working for the Bears is treating Darnell Mooney like DeAndre Hopkins with deep throws down the field hoping for the best. In cold windy weather, it might not be there, but that is the Bears best chance to move the ball down the field.

Last week Derrick Henry looked vintage running all over Washington. While David MontyG is a BEAST of his own, Payne/Allen are bigger BEASTS and they will be in David’s lap before the Football at times on those stretch handoffs. Fields will have to make this situation work with his legs and some creativity to get MontyG the numbers he deserves.

Carson Wentz has enough weapons and tools to move the ball down the field against the Bears defense that really has not been good all season. While the Commanders defense has not been great, they can pressure Justin Fields heavily, and when that happens, the Bears get sloppy.
